Its a good place if you want a room with a view (a spectacular one at that). Room itself is ok, not great. The property has great floral varieties. Cleanliness can be much better, our room had plenty of flies. Food is fine

Service was not good. They didn't provide us heaters and clean bedsheets. Bedsheets were sticky. Toilet flush was also not working. The food was very bad. On our first day when we reached there, they made an awful breakfast that includes burnt bread, jams, very spicy poha and water like daal. But despite this the location was awesome. This was the only thing I found good there.

Extremely difficult place to reach is one thing very important to mention.Beyond the main road it's a treacherous and dangerous path to the lodge.Make sure that you have enough ground clearance to reach here. Rooms are average at best. Service is good although and would like to make special mention of Mr.Jawahar on whose shoulders this place is running at the least.Management is least interested to keep you pleased although He makes sure you are not facing any difficulties atall. Food is OK...nothing great to mention there. View from the lodge is amazing but might be restricted for days if you are caught in clouds. Staff is well behaved and courteous otherwise. Beware of Leeches at this place and come packed with local remedies for the same.Not a place for oldies as it's a difficult place to reach.

Location : 3.5 not crowded,good view . Accessibility : 1 road to the hotel is extremely unpaved. ride from car is very uncomfortable to have a comfortable ride you will need a 4by4 the road is about 500 m . Not disability friendly . Service : 3 polite people though the place is not well kept . Food : 4 nice . If you request for something special they will oblige without hesitation . Amenities: 0 no no paste no towel no blanket no pillow on second bed

It's a very nice experience to visit in Himalayan Eco Lodges, Viraatkhai - Chakrata. Mr. Dixit (Manager In-charge) is very nice person, he showed excellent hospitality. The staff was extremely friendly, the restaurant very flexible (appreciate this!) and the restaurant supervisor deserves a special thanks. We had two great evenings here, which obviously also added up to the experience. One day BF & dinner was awesome. Other day dinner & BF was little ok. Limited options for food but food was very tasty on first day when the place was less crowded. Sales team should be less rude for providing basic amenities like driver's stay and others, although that was there but sales team refused to provide. Charging for room heater and asking for charge for guide for trekking should not be there. Sales team could add up those things in the package already. But overall it's nice place to visit. One who loves the nature and want to enjoy the calmness should plan to visit..

If you're looking for an off beat location away from the city streets with no noise and air pollution bothering you, then this is a must visit. The view from the rooms are breathtaking and the place is extremely peaceful. The food offered here would make you feel home away from home. The staff here is very courteous and polite and would cater to all your requirements. For people who wish to enjoy the picturesque view and have me time one MUST chose this Destination.

Wonderful location, great for an off-beat weekend road trip. Picturesque route with greatnwinding roads, you feel on the top of the world here. The seclusion is an added bonus. The food is good here too but it may get a bit cold here, wish there was provision of a space heater.

A great hidden place - nestled between hills near Chakrata. Ideal for a quick fun family or group trip. We went there on New year's eve. It took us 3 hours to drive from Dehradun. Driving on the narrow winding roads was thrilling and adventurous. Last 500 meters from the lodge were quite intimidating and we had to get off the car to check the conditions of roads a few times but nothing dangerous just lots of pebbles and rocks. Once there, the trip was excellent. The staff were very helpful and attentive throughout the entire trip. The manager (Mr Dixit) was welcoming and friendly who helped us set up quickly and without hassles (thank you again for accommodating us above and beyond). Food may have been the best in Chakarata - with the option to dine in mess hall. Overall, a great trip with good memories. will highly recommend if you are heading to Chakrata for a quick fun trip. Will visit again soon.
