Only basecamp for Bhrigu Lake trek. Went there on Sept end for trekking. Experienced hailstorm 15 minutes before reaching the camp. Temperature dropped heavily on night and snow fall covered the ground. One of the best treks of my life ( more so since I went independent). Note of caution: No Maggi point or night stay or settlement here. So, carry everything from food, tent etc. A drinking water source is available, which is a pipe connected to the glacial stream. Great trek for rookies. For people who have done a few treks in and around Himachal, you can skip the Gulaba campsite and head straight to Rola Koli, this will save you a day and Gulaba does not even offer you much. Food and snacks is available at a local vendor's tent at Rola Koli at a slight premium. From the main highway, the place where trek actually starts, it takes around 6-7 hours with a couple of pitstops. It took around 2 hours coming down from Rola Koli to main highway again. Plan for your return transport to Manali in advance as you might not get any taxi instantly, but you can always talk to the local guys there and they can arrange it for you.
Beautiful and safe campsite. Great for an overnight stay on the way to Bhrigu Lake while trekking.
The water stream is an excellent source of clean water.
Has a small dabbha and indiahikes tents setup with a temporary toilet tent.
Amazing place to camp. The place is on the trek of brighu lake. People stay at this place to camp and take rest, then they continue their journey to brighu lake on the second day. There is a Maggie point where you can have some food. There is not much variety of food over here but, getting something to eat at this place is a pleasure. There is small water stream, you can have water from there, the water is super cool and pure. The view from this place is amazing. One must visit this place, though the trek is quite difficult.
Been there for the Trek to Bhrigu Lake. But had to abandon due to extreme chiiling cold weather. Hope to go there again someday..
A base camp for those going towards Bhrigu Lake. Its Sorounded by big mountains , a river from the waterfall this place is very beautiful.
