Rohini Park is half an hour away from Siliguri. This is one of the hilly places for day trips near Siliguri. Be it with family or friends, quite some time can be easily spent here. This park covers a lot of space. There is also a temple. However, maintenance is currently lacking. If properly maintained the place can regain its old fame.

Rohini is a tourist spot located closely to Siliguri. At a distance of about 25 km from Siliguri, Rohini is located on the new road being constructed to connect Siliguri with Kurseong. In the past, Rohini was famous for its Tea Garden situated at Lower Rohini. Today Rohini draws hoards of tourists on its own due to the beautiful natural environment and the beautification work undertaken by Darjeeling Gorkha Hill Council. The Hill Council has also built a new tourist resort near the bungalow. The Rohini lake is a beautiful small lake situated just below mountains carpeted with tea gardens. You can go boating in the lake. Rohini Hilltop provides a great view of the hills as well as the plains. As you look straight up, high above the mountains you can see Kurseong town. The nearby forests might also be interesting to nature lovers. A short trek through the dense forests of Lama Gomba can be a real adventure for wildlife lovers. This is one of the oldest Teak plantations in the region and the hill has a distinctive grey look due to the uniqueness of its vegetation. Dudhia on the bank of Balason river, a popular picnic spot, is only 15 min drive from here. The forests of Bamanpokhari is also nearby, where you can go for a short trek as well.

Rohini is a small area towards the hill. When you leave the plane and just start climbing, you'll go through Rohini. It's a great place for having your first stop towards your journey to the hills in the summer. Though in the winter, many tourists come here to spend a day or two.
