River Bay Resort - Resort hotel in Rajamahendravaram - East Godavari, India

Costly for the amenities provided. The rooms & the venue are not kept clean. No proper CC TV cameras either. Recently conducted my wedding here & the housekeeper stole my wife's ring, didn't get any support to find it from the management.

Only the view and room service is good. Else everything is in broken condition. Rooms are in bad condition. Walls are totally damp. In our 1st room even the taps don't work properly. Washrooms are not that clean. Receptionists are careless. They were even counting the stay duration wrong. And if you correct them, they will show bad attitude. And if you have your own car, get ready to see it covered in bird poop every morning, as they have no covered parking. In our case it got so bad that we had to wash our car just after checkout. And if you tell them about it they will just shrug it off saying there's nothing that can be done. If you are going with the same tariff then better to stay at some other hotels than this. Ours was an official trip and this was the first time we stayed here, so we had no option to change in between.

This is my second on the same hotel, after 7 years. My feedback: Positives - Location, close to markets, temples, Ghats etc. On the river, I would say - Property, other than Rooms - greener, spacious, airy and on the banks of the River - People, are good and helpful - Parking - was enough and under the Trees. One caution, please DO NOT park under the Trees. Your car will be drenched with birds dropping. The security guard was friendly. Reception - spacious. I interacted with Ms. Mounica. She was good and resourceful. However, allotted us a shabby room. Later we got it changed. Rooms - upkeep of our first room was pathetic. It looked liked like a lodge, in fact lodge would be better. Broken tiles, dirty WC, soiled taps, colored walls, uneven wooden floor (almost tripped). We had to raise our voice to change a room. This room is better, but not to the extent. Rooms a serious facelift and rennovation.

I am disappointed with the recent experience at the hotel we booked. We specifically chose this hotel after filtering for properties with a swimming pool, as it was an important amenity for our stay. However, upon arrival, the hotel manager, Mr. Balaji, informed us that the swimming pool is exclusively for members and not available to guests. This information contradicts what we were led to believe when making the reservation. What is more concerning is Mr. Balaji's attitude and comments towards us. Instead of addressing the issue professionally and with courtesy, he made derogatory remarks, calling us "illiterates." Such behavior is completely unacceptable and unprofessional. As customers, we expect to be treated with respect and honesty, and this experience has left us with a negative impression of the hotel. We believe that the hotel management should uphold the advertised amenities and maintain a level of professionalism and courtesy when interacting with guests Timings different to what they mentioned: 2 to 5 pm for water parks, for swimming pool Nylon cloths mandatory, and they won't providing. Per head 250rs to access swimming pool. If you pay 250 and they allow anyone, no need to book room. But manager Balaji inform everyone that its exclusively for members not even for guests. No lounges, no restaurant.

Worst maintenance and unhygienic rooms. Zero worth for the money. Even lodges nearby are little clean. No standards at all. A big No to this place. And their pool and water games are in such a bad condition, you will surely get some diseases if you get into it. Rooms are not at all maintained clean and its a kind of old building. Paying such a huge amount to them, you will surely be disappointed. I generally dont write google reviews but people should not fall into their trap. Hence I am writing this. Other day in Rajamundry I stayed in Anand Regecy for lesser price than River bay and I should surely compliment their standards in Anand Regecy. Overall experience was okay. We travelled with our pet (cat) & we booked from MMT where mentioned that it's a pet friendly hotel. When we reached they asked for extra money (1500) for pet. We travelled from kolkata by car & it was evening time we had no other option except to give extra money. Room was spacious & clean, bathroom was also very spacious. The view was also good.

The rooms are not that neat and clean. As the hotel is present on the river bay. So there are mosquitoes and insects entering the hotel room. Thats really a bad experience. The only positive point is that it is located on banks of river.

Awesome location but it is an old property with no so friendly service. Food is available only in certain timings.. guests with kids and senior citizen to watch out. The only good is only property on the banks of river godavari.
