Riva Gold Coast - Hotel in Candolim - North Goa, India

Location is great! Service is really bad. I wish Google reviews had half star rating. No professional staff. They don't even know how to talk with customer. Very arrogant behaviour. Manager was never available. They lost our room key and didn't clean the room as well. We were required wait outside the room in corridors while they were cleaning the room. Lot of mosquitoes in corridors. Cleaning of washroom was done by a simple bath towel. They didn't use any cleaning chemicals. They also didn't do floor mopping. Vessels used to keep breakfast items were also not clean. Some were broken as well. Overall pathetic experience

Most friendly and helpful receptionist and staff with a smiling face, lovely and great first impression of hotel. Everything about the hotel was exceptional. It was clean, stylish, with excellent service in where we had dinner. Food was good and great value for money and service was attentive and efficient.

Well what I love is the location..everything is too close.. and the hotel.is damn damn beautiful.. Then moving to rooms n services that's really 5 out of 5.. properly clean n everything was too good.. What's most important if u go to any tourist place is the hospitality Which I rate them 5 out of 5.. Staff and everyone was really helpful and prompt to our every request.. I specifically wanna thanks our receptionist ANAM mam.. she helped me to get early check in as my flight arrived early and she was too helpful in every aspect.. I have been first time to this hotel And trust me you gonna love the hospitality of the staff and the location view plus the nearby access to everything And what surprises me they are quiet cooperative and supportive too I specifically pay my regards and thanks to Mr. Raj (HOD/supervisor) Mr. Malvin ( bar area staff) and Mr Ajay (staff member) All the housekeeping staff Thank you so much for your such nice hospitality. Look to visit again and will book this only hotel For sure

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The breakfast buffet was delicious, offering a wide variety of options. The service was excellent, and the staff's behavior was impeccable. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and welcoming stay.

We stayed here couple of years ago and it was amazing. But today the experience was really bad. There's no hot water and there's no good chance to get good hot water the way it should be. The TV kept stopping and multiple times the staff had to bring technicians but couldn't do anything. Servicing of the staff is also not that good the way it used to be. Even after calling multiple times no-one comes to check on you until you scream. It wastes the feeling of holiday. Also, I booked the hotel with breakfast but somehow it was booked without it that was also confusing. The hotel is not that amazing after renovation and the same has affected the hot water scenario I believe.

Forget about the service, I didn't even get the room. I called the hotel 3 times in advance, still after reaching, the room was not ready. I had to wait 1 hour 15 mins, and still no room. After all that time, the guy told me to cancel the booking and get full refund. I mean just wow! What am I supposed to do with the refund? I can't find any other hotel at this price now since this is the day of the fact. However, what irked me the most was the fact that the reason for me not getting my booking was that another person came and got my room before me. I think that defeats the entire purpose of bookings! Here are the booking details, if required:

The rooms are moderate, they claim that they have a balcony but you only can stand there, our room lacked the following - electric kettle (coffee, sugar, tea leaves was there but the kettle itself was not there), hand wash, towel was too dirty to use, there is no carpet or cloth where you can shred you feet dirt before climbing to the bed. We were given 101 where the room was so damp that we could not stay there for more than 5 minutes. The receptionist was not customer centric and inclined more towards whether you have paid the bill or not. We gave 40% advance and he was not ready to accept and have to show screenshot which was already sent through the app. It took 15-20 mins time for check in after a tiring journey and he was keeping on asking when you paid advance, which app you used , whom you sent and then asked IDs , overall the checkin experience was not good. The pictures posted are made attractive and deviates from reality.There is no parking available along with this resort , you have to depend on luck for empty govt parkings.
