It's the old Rishikesh station. Clean, quiet, open atmosphere with ample free space outside under tree. E-rikshaw and autos are easily available. Few simple hotels for meal are available towards right, city side.

Awesome place, no words to describe. Feels like heaven. Lots of things to do here.

Rishikesh is commonly referred to as the 'yoga capital of the world' and rightly so. The picturesque city looks suspended between the stunning riverside promenades, acres of forests, lush mountains, and clear blue skies lending it a surreal appearance. Every temple here, be it the Neelkanth Mahadev Temple, Raghunath Temple, or the 13-storey Trimbakeshwar Temple, has its own beautiful legend that attracts people from all over the world. The twin Ram & Lakshman Jhulas are outstanding architectural feats in themselves.

Rishikesh is a holy place and yoga capital of India. It's a pilgrimage town. It has been a part of Kedarkhand. The Ganges, one of the most sacred rivers to Hindus,[18] flows through Rishikesh. The historical records mention that some pilgrims used to stay at Rishikesh as a resting place before moving onwards to the higher mountains for the pilgrimage while a larger number used to visit Rishikesh as the original destination and visited various sites between Rishikesh and Lakshman Jhula before returning. However, Rishikesh has in recent decades shifted from a pilgrim to a tourist town. Young adventurous are crazy for Rafting here.
