A very cute & cozy cafe, have great vibes. Loved the experience totally. Special mention for its location. Would recommend to try coffee from a wide selection to choose from, also sandwiches n pastas are very good. Also try out their fresh bake pastries. For Sunday brunch Advance booking is advisable. Perfect place to hangout with your family/friend or date with your son to chill and relax.

For Me it was one of the best cafes. The whole place was looking and even feeling like I'm in Italy or a western country. The staff was good and polite and it was my first time visiting a cafe I didn't really know about different espresso but the staff helped me choose the best for me. If you really wanna try a cafe i would definitely recommend Retro.

Having visited every good coffee shop in Jalandhar, I can definitely say this one is the best in terms of quality and price, you get very decent pastries under 200, the ambience is also very European, its a quite small cafe, with only 2 tables so you might have to wait during peak times.

When bigger brand names like Starbucks fail to deliver quality, to-go-to, every day, cafe (and coffee) in India, Retro By Cakewali is a coffee shop quintessential to the taste and ambiance of renaissance cafes found in Europe. A functional fireplace in an Indian, Punjabi cafe; can you believe it? I'm sure I'll be enjoying Retro's fireplace in the winter while sipping on my favorite drinks! Whereas Starbucks offers a boring corporate cafe concept (hard to digest in India with a boring set of customers who visit Starbucks in Punjab), hats off to the space Sahil, the owner, envisioned and created this bespoke European cafe in Jalandhar -- all other coffee shops in Punjab are light years away from offering such a magical space and taste. As a customer who's been religiously enjoying Retro's coffee every single day for the last three months, I can vet for their coffee -- the taste is consistently delicious! A cappuccino and an opera cake is my everyday order, come and make this coffee shop your everyday joint to order quality coffee.

Only thing about this cafe is how beautiful it's presentation is. Interior is amazing, lighting is great incase you're an influencer or just love to take Instagram worthy pictures, then it's a good fit for you. But the only concern was food. Cakes here are not that great and coffee is kinda average. The only food item i liked in the menu was the vegetarian puff, cuz the puff-dough quality was really good. I can say that the ingredient quality they're using is really nice, but i taste needs some serious improvement. Prices are slightly on expensive side. Though, the cafe is quite popular, and has only 2 tables then one have to wait a little to get a seat. But I'm sure you'll enjoy the ambience as a first time visitor.

incompetent staff and average quality food !!! the staff needs to behave and be respectful to the clients instead of having that (aukat se bahar wala attitude) '!! the coffee tasted average !! the taste of cake was good but was not worth the price Rs!

Nice ambiance a good variety of coffee and cakes with reasonable prices... space is bit congested and feed suffocate while ordering... over all a good experience
