Resort Marinha Dourada - Resort hotel in Arpora - default, India

We stayed at this place for 4 nights. The resort is situated at a not so nice location. The resort only looked good in pics, but in reality it's the opposite. Rooms are not taken care of. AC doesn't work well. Room service is worse that a snail. Food is very expensive hence not many eat there. The staff have an attitude and some of them are creepy and look at women in a very dirty angle. Though this resort is more than 30 years old, they have not kept up the heritage name. I wouldn't recommend anyone here to be honest. But if you feel that you could adjust then go ahead. Oh! And the car service outside the resort is pathetic. We have a real bad time when heading to the airport from the resort. Drivers were drunk and wanted us to get out of the car on the middle of a dingy road. We were so scared that we had to keep shut and not say a word with them coz we were just girls in the car. Hence, I wouldn't recommend this car service to only women who go on a trip here.

Before scrolling more positive reviews you should know which one is real and which one is fake. I had a very bad experience and it is not about room and location. It is about staff 1. I was sitting out near the pool and one staff came and told me to sit properly like don't put your leg on another chair. like guys seriously is this a school other days one company employee checked in at the hotel and they smoked in the pool and were sitting the same I made a video and showed it at reception and there were the same staff who watched them people and didn't say anything why?? Because those company employees make bills for hotels, 2. The most horrible incident was when I put the plate to clean my room and went outside and no one cleaned the room. so I called reception they said to put the plate outside and they will clean the room. but the next day I went for breakfast and didn't put the plate on and looked at the room when I arrived I was surprised someone entered and cleaned the room even though I didn't say anything to anyone. so I went to reception and complained about this incident he said sir you need to put the board DND on the door. so I said I put that plate inside the room so how can you consider it for cleaning the room 3. my bags were open and money was there and they said sorry only and gave the excuse like it is a standard process. Please don't waste your vacation with this resource and book some other rating resort.

Third class hospitality by receptionist. Called and asked for early check-in. But the receptionist didn't entertained. He said he would finish with his check-out first. We have to wait more than two hours after travelling from Delhi on 20-Nov-2023. Still on reception till now it is 1:10. Waiting since 11 o'clock in morning.

We had spent 4 days in this resort .It is centrally located near Baga Beach. Rooms are quite comfortable and they have their own lake and swimming pools.Breakfast has very limited choices but room service is good.Menu has good varieties specially Sea food .Prices are reasonably priced.Enjoyed our stay .

So we ( couple ) booked a room from 28th Se to 2nd Oct and it costed around 5k per room. The property is huge with 3 story buildings stretched out in acres. Here are the Pros and Cons Pros 1. Property is very near to Baga, Calungate, Anjuna, Vagator in 15 min drive you can reach to all of these. Thus if you are looking off for some North Goan vibes, this is perfect location. 2. There are two private lakes, making this property perfect for couple to spent some time around nature, as well as family to give their children and dear ones a good picnic vibe. 3. The swimming pools were quite clean and big enough to have a cool water time. 4. Staff is very prompt and humble and are punctual to cleanliness and timings ( room service and cleaning ) 5. Rooms are huge and having ample space for keeping belongings Cons: 1. During peak time, the property will be too costly, so try your luck with online offers and dates. 2. The food in-house is too costly, and they DO NOT allow outside food and drinks. 3. The breakfast buffet was fine but it was having only very few choices * Either of Puri Bhaji/Vermicelli/ Idli/ Pav Bhaji/ Pav Usal * Tea, Coffee, cold milk, hot milk, warm water, Mango Juice * Bread butter Jam Note: They should be improving on choices in breakfast. 4. Parking is outside the property, but having the security tight, it is fine to have it that way. 5. There is no concept of room decoration, or special dining, or candle light dinner. Adding those can really take this resort value high 6. There are tours and events associated so there will be huge crowd of people accordingly plan for swimming pool and around lake visits 7. Blankets cleanliness should be improved Overall the experience was good, but better breakfast and more in room facilities will make it perfect

Nice and good resort. Hospitable staff and good atmosphere. Rooms, service location all good. Break fast was not much attracting.

Rude and racist staff ..worst breakfast and pathetic restaurant.. pool closing time is 6 pm our children were playing in pool and a person throw few bucket of chlorine in water without saying any thing and giving warning and when we complaint they said can't you see pool closing time is 6pm and he throw chlorine and bleach at 6:05. In presence of children in pool.

We hv been coming to this resort for years now. There service. The rooms.. The food. It's all to a good standard. Very much value for money. Been here three days on a ten day visit..all good..
