Resort Hare Krishna Orchid Vrindavan - Resort hotel in Vrindavan, Sunrakh Bangar - Mathura, India

Booked this hotel as it seemed to be fairly central to all that we wanted to see and price was reasonable. It definitely is not 5 star, maybe 3 star? The shower didn't work in the bathroom, so back to basics and jug and bucket it was! The bidet spray, kept on leaking, so had to turn it off from the mains after use. The bathroom floor wasn't really that clean, so I washed with flip flops on. The room was a decent size with an open plan sitting and dining area. The fridge available was a good idea...but pointless as everytime you took your key out, it turned off the electricity supply. The food is amazing....both room service and breakfast. The men in the reception area were more polite and accomodating than the female staff. They also need to make it clearer when booking which block you are in, we went to the main reception and she informed us we were in block C which was 5 minutes walk away. It's not the walk that is the issue, its the fact that we had our luggage and there was no offer to assist us in taking the luggage. Beautiful place to stay when in Vrindavan. Old building rooms have a seapage smell issue. I stayed in C block, and the rooms were pretty neat and clean. Every building has different receptiom service. Housekeeping service is quick. Restaurant prices are bit steep according to food preparation..I mean paneer chilly or dry Manchurian I ate here wasn't an actual one . But overall a peaceful stay.

The old property is just a waste of money. They are charging 3.5k for a poorly old maintained room. No towels in the bathroom, no shower caps , no menu. One can't come out of the hotel at night. The surroundings are really poor. The corridor area had a very a bad smell and when we complained to the receptionist, he literally said that his nose is blocked so he can't do anything with it. They have fixed the shower at a height of 5ft approx, poorly designed. I didn't expected this type of hospitality from them.

Hare Krishna Orchid is a great place to stay in Vrindavan. Big and spacious rooms with mouth watering food which is an advantage for the food lovers. Resort is neat and clean with all modern amenities. Morning breakfast was spread well with all Indian and south Indian varieties. My family enjoyed staying at the Hare Krishna Orchid. Hare Krishna

Lots of things didn't work in the rooms we were given, despite changing rooms. Eg TV remote, fan regulator, AC remote. Then cupboard had no railing or hangers. They knew we were 3 people but didn't equip with 3 towels, nor any hand towels. So lots of issues. It is also quite far from everything. Finally, food for a hotel of this quality was quite expensive.

recently attended a function there, 1: food was awesome... never tasted so good food, without onion and garlic... 2: swimming pool at E block was excellent. 3: rooms clean but old, needs overhauling.... 4: staff are warm and welcoming. 5: once again, food is delicious and reasonable also.

Even after paying this hotel says that we booked a standard room for which there is no room service because we are given room in non utilised part of hotel. We just checked-in in our room where we are disappointed to find no electric kettle , no tea / coffee powder which is neither provided even after reminding. The curtains and sofa is so dirty as if nobody has cleaned them for years. We are regular customer of this hotel from past 5yrs but this hotel has become an utter disappointment every time we visit. No regards for regular customer, no hospitality no maintenance no cleanliness in rooms there stinky smell of water seapage. In the end I would advise future customers to please avoid this place. Day by day the hotel is just becoming stingy and focussed on making money ,not providing any basic n necessary amenities or customer delight. Thanks for making us realise that we are not looking for such kind of bad hotel with no service, no empathy for customer and hospitality. The manager with whom we spoke was equally rude who refused to give us a better room and asked us to shell out more money to change room. The hotel charged heavily due to peak season and long weekend. The prices for the next one were about 1/3rd but the service was not at all up to the level of prices charged. We booked 5 rooms and many didn't have an AC remote so we could not control or change the temperature to our liking. They were not provided even after repeated requests. TVs were not working. We had to request multiple times to get water bottles. The restaurant closed at 10.30 in the evening. Swimming pool timings were in sync with the temple opening timings to discourage people from using them.
