I had stayed there for 2 months while doing an internship. Very good experience. The rooms are clean,food is really tasty, the staff are friendly and the location is quite good and safe. The entire area is populated with various economical food joints, starting from Tibetan to Bengali to North India. I would definitely recommend it.
It is a well maintained hostel where cleanliness is seen to on a daily basis and safety of the girls is taken care of, very seriously. Recently it went through a lot of changes, and there were issues regarding food. But now again the quality and taste of the food has been restored and it feels pretty much like home. You might be disappointed with the fact that they don't provide lunch. They charge extra for it. Also, that the size of the rooms in Damodhar Block is very small, though this is not the case in Lakshmi Block. Coming to the WiFi, it sometimes works fine, sometimes becomes very disappointing, I am yet to address this issue to the owner. It might be resolved. And yes, if you have a project to work on, the reception area is where your friends are allowed and not beyond, but it is pretty nice and the wardens will be cool with you people working there. Overall it is a good hostel.
I had come to attend session at IISC Bangalore for 5 days and stayed at this PG. The rooms are neat and are cleaned everyday. The food was good and hygienic. Hot water available for bathing in the mornings. The wardens are kind and helpful. Wifi facility also available. Special thanks to Karpagam madam and one more lady warden at night. Overall, it was a good experience for me and my roommate :)
