Reliance Guest House - Hotel in Durgapur - Paschim Bardhaman, India

Room Condition: 0.5/5 Cleanliness: 0/5 Safety: -5/5 One of our horrible experiences so far. Been to Durgapur for a marriage functions and tried reaching this hotel for some hours to stay with family. While booking they were really sweet and kind. When we paid and entered, the shock. No water bottles, no security. While the main entrance is closed, there is a sub entry next to it and I guess half of Durgapur is aware of it. So anyone can entered the place. Beds are full of bug, the bedsheet and pillow covers were washed at least 2 years back (literally), smelly blanket, so support at night for any crucial things. Parking also promised earlier, but we have to park some random lane.

Rooms are pathetic as per price, most creepy thing is this hotel has some spirits. Unusual creepines can't explain but felt very uneasy after 2pm night.

I had a terrible experience at this Hotel. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Room r good staff was good but there is problem for car parking

* No proper arrangement for food. Even ordering leads to poor staff behaviour and sometimes no food at all is delivered (even when ordered hours beforehand). * Guests are treated VERY poorly. * Absolutely NO backup when powercut occurs. Extremely inconvenient since no electrical appliances work. * Rooms are thankfully proper. * Extremely HIGH rate for just accommodation.

In one word most 3rd class hotel considering the amount they are charging. They took 1500 per night without bill and then don't even provide plates or bowls to eat the food. Staffs are really bad and they simply don't know how to speak. I can assure that if someone stays here then for sure they will regret it.

Not so good this guest house but location near by durgapur bus stand and durgapur court. Distence from bus stand 300 Mt.

My worst hotel experience till that.. NOT GOOD FOR COUPLES AND NEVER EVER FOR BUSINESS PURPOSES. After 14 hours of flight journey, I faced this horrible so called hotel. Black dust (coal dust) all around, bathtub was looking like expired dustbin, so called white towels had lots of black, brown and yellow patches. And the best part was that, they didn't had any spare towel to replace that.. For more details, please have a look to attached pictures. I appreciate the Location and taste of food. But TOO NOISY hotel. Hotel had a kitchen in same floor and they were making too much noise every time. Also, the staff members were loudly singing, chiding on each other from early morning to mid night. Also, during morning, a lady was washing dirty utensils just in front of our room. Now, let's review the contents present in room. Room had a broken lock. TV was not working. After multiple requests, they replaced the faulty tata sky set. No ventilation in washroom. Extension fan in washroom was not functioning and dreggy bathtub pic is already attached with this description. The most important, forget about the AC and lights, even there was no electricity during nights (pics are attached). Also, no WiFi (but mentioned in description) . Still I am thinking, why the hell, they are taking 1200 per night. We asked for extra bed and they gave a iron rod bed without mattresses and charged 500 per night(without any bill) . After multiple request, they told that because of other marriage booking they had shortage of mattresses. Totally pathetic and wastage of time. Now the best part was that, whenever we asked for other room, they told that that was the best room they had. Till date, I only heard about "CHAWL" but now, I experienced in these 3 days. Hope my remaining days in India will spend peacefully..
