Regional Science Center - Science museum in Bhopal - Bhopal, India

It's a great place to learn something new. The total ticket will cost Rs65 that's including - Museum entry, 3D video (about 10 min) and a planetarium (a 10 min show of stars in our observable universe). Everything is worth it. You can also skip the shows and just enter with a normal ticket. It's a good place to bring young kids, they will love it and will definitely learn many things. The staff is also good and friendly. Be sure to bring your food and snacks as there is only a limited amount of options available there, so it will be good to plan ahead. To experience everything (including the park) you will need at least 3-4 hours.

We visited this place with three kids. Ticket charges are nominal and it's better to opt for package where one gets an all included pass of 3D movie, Tara Mandal show etc. These shows are shown at regular gaps and we happened to reach just on time where the 3 D show was about to begin. It was for just about 10 minutes or so. It was nice and kids enjoyed it. Then there was a galaxy show which was quite engaging. Apart from these shows, there is an array of experiments and displays ranging from light, mechanics, geology, human body, chemistry and the like. Overall quite a stimulating experience for young children. We went on a week day and there wasn't much crowd. The outer area and garden is nicely done and one can spend a fair bit of time exploring the garden and experimental set ups there.

Amazing experience with science knowledge Awesome not only for science but also lots of Fun

It is an average science center which is available in almost every big city of India. Since it doesn't have a private ownership (govt aided) so maintenance is much required. Many of the instruments are not functional. Wear and tear can be seen at many places. Still floors were very much clean and overall premise was well cleaned. 3D show didn't have enough glasses so despite of the hall capacity the show was run in smaller batches. It needs a renovation. There is so much to learn for children upto 10 std. People from non science background are suggested to read all the description boards nicely and then explain the same to their kids. Let children read, learn and spend sometime at every machine/display, else it will be only a play day for them.

Must visit place for students for practical knowledge of science and scientific instruments with fun....

It's really fantastic place to gain learning experience of science through the fun...if u are really curious for ur science, spare at least 4-5 hours for visit which also include 3 D show and Taramandal show. Ticket rate is Rs 150 for family of four. First floor of the centre includes Mirror Gallery, Energy gallery and Atmosphere which is worth to watch...must visit along with ur kids...Present in Main Bhopal City where u can easily get transport service..but no cafeteria or canteen inside..but u can carry ur food..also school picnic can be planned here

Amazing place for kids Too much fun Creativity at its best

Hi, If you are at the cleanest city Bhopal, the Regional Science Centre is a must-go place. From the moment I stepped inside, I was greeted with an atmosphere of curiosity and wonder. It is so thoughtfully designed, with interactive exhibits and displays that engaged visitors of all ages. Each section of the center was dedicated to a different scientific discipline, allowing me to explore a wide range of topics, from astronomy and physics to biology and mathematics. What impressed me the most was the hands-on nature of the exhibits. I had the opportunity to conduct my own experiments, manipulate objects, and even participate in live demonstrations. I was very fortunate to meet the director of the centre - Shri Saket Kaurav Sir who is very passionate about sharing his love for Science and life lessons of how you can give something great to this world if you have a passion in your subject. The staffs were very enthusiastic, and always ready to answer questions. One of the highlights of my visit was the planetarium. I was transported to outer space, surrounded by breathtaking visuals of stars and celestial objects. (Taramandal & 3D Show) Overall, my visit was a truly enriching and memorable experience. I highly recommend this science center to anyone seeking an engaging and educational adventure. Timings - Everyday from 9.30am to 6:00pm except on major festivals Tickets - Between Rs. 30 and Rs. 70
