One of the best museums in Bhubaneswar which depicts the natural history of the area. I have been visiting this museum since 2006 and many things have changed since then. Mention may be made of new displays and additions. Some displays are under renovation so don't mind the workers. Must visit for kids and students.
I would highly recommend to visit this amazing place, so much of knowledge to gain. One will need minimum 2 hrs to visit all things here shortly and maximum 3 hrs to visit in details. Superbly structured and well maintained. Exhibition is awsome. Details of Bio-diversity including all parts of India & world are shown nicely. The animals, reptiles, birds, etc are exhibited beautifully. Kids and animal lovers will love this place. But needs more attention of Govt. for even more development as it is located in centre of the city. Needs more skulls as kept in kolkata musuem.
Entry is free. The museum contains world's largest egg. So many dead butterflies and snakes are there. Bones of fish ranging from small size to 30-foot large whales are there for display. It contains a lot of information about Odisha. It needs proper maintenance.

Good place to spend some time and gain a bit about different historical things. Children will like it. It will take hardly half an hour to complete. Free of cost

Best museum in Bhubaneswar. It educates people on environment awareness, sustainable living, flora and fauna in Orissa, and a bit about its history. Students and kids will find it very useful. No entrance ticket to visit this museum.
