Regional Institute of Education, affiliated to Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati University is a NAAC 'A+' accredited institute, with good infrastructure and facilities. It is a part of the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT), which is based in New Delhi. RIE Ajmer offers two integrated programs, viz. B.Sc-B.Ed. and BA-B.Ed including a B.Ed. program at the undergraduate level. For postgraduate studies, the college offers an M.Ed. program. Admission to the courses is strictly based on the Entrance Examination conducted by NCERT followed by counseling. Candidates are selected based on the CEE score and merit in the last qualifying exam. The institute is situated on the Ajmer Pushkar highway. Almost every facility is available. Nearby college,there is famous Anasagar lake, named after Prithviraj Chauhan's grand father and built in 12th century. The city is less populated and seems planned. The college is average. One can't expect much from a government college. It provides opportunities for intership and campus placement.

The worst institute ...I have spent a little time there and now I am pursuing MA at a central university (BHU) ...After comparing RIE from BHU I can't understand that why did I chose RIE that time for BA- B.Ed .. Extremely poor staff ... Only having the tag of NCERT...

Regional College of Education, Ajmer was set up in the year 1963. Later it was renamed as Regional Institute of Education (RIE), Ajmer in the year 1995. It looks after the educational interests of Northern Region comprising the states of Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, the National Capital Territory of Delhi and the Union Territory of Chandigarh, Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh. Ajmer is well-known all over India as a historical and religious place of pilgrimage as well as an educational centre. It owes this reputation partly to the Regional Institute of Education (RIE). The Institute is situated six km away from the Ajmer Railway Station in midst of idyllic surroundings with the historic Anasagar Lake in front and the Aravali hills all around. It is almost equidistant from the world famous Dargah of Khawaja Moinuddin Chisti beyond the lake and the holy place of Hindu pilgrimage, Pushkar, at the back.This Institute, with its spacious buildings, playgrounds, gardens, lawnsand farm is spread over 110 acres. It is affiliated to the M.D.S. University,Ajmer and its courses are recognised by the NCTE, New Delhi. It is controlled and managed by the NCERT. The management committee, chaired by the Vice-Chancellor of the affiliating university performs the advisory role on matters of academic interest.

I'm student of RIE and I actually feel proud to be a student of RIE...This is the best college.

It is the NCERT regional institute of education. When you enquire local peoples about the location of RIE, no one knows. It is popular as regional college there. Its around 10 to 15 kms far from Ajmer railway station. You can reach there by local bus which is cheap and safe. RIE is a very good institute for doing B.Ed. It has number of facilities for the students as well for teachers. Building is very good, actually can say the location of this institute is very good.. Infront of this you can find choupati beach where you can walk and take quick chaat and ice cream. Inside the RIE you can find hills I mean on another side . It is calm place in between nature. Hostels of girl and boys are also inside. food was good enough to eat. Guest house was nice and clean. Library of the institute was very quiet. Also there was good collection and updated. Staff was cooperative even for guests.
