best hostel stay ever. everything is very neat and clean and well maintained. they have colourful sitting areas and also a separate dining area where you can hangout with fellow hostellers. the kitchen is spacious, clean and well stocked with necessary cutlaries, pots and pans. but the highlight of this place are its staff and the location (eateries, railway station, bus stop everything is nearby). Deepa, Tamin, Murugan all are wonderful and helpful people who makes your stay so comfortable that you almost feel like it's home away from home. I have stayed here almost more than 5-6 times and each time I come they treat me like family. also the overall vibe of the hostel is very vibrant and safe.

Very good place to stay. Mixed dorm and private rooms are available. Very neat and cosy place to stay in Chennai. You could also meet many people from other side of the world here. There are common rooms dining room kitchen available for self cooking. Toilets are clean. The whole property is well maintained, the staffs were also good.

Do you like this place? It all depends on what you are looking for. The place is upto the mark with all the amenities at the heart of the city. The employees here are very highly educated(PHDs!) and staff are properly trained. The place is not at all money minded. They are fair. I met few really best people at this place: The ex-owner of the place, Murugan, is a chilled & happy guy. Looks like he is in his late 20's. But he is 39yrs old. He speak about running a hostel. It is not profitable. He only ran it with passion. He also gave me a good lesson on money. I received love from every guest here. The Places I have been to: (There are list of places the Reception can help you with) 1. RamaKrishna Math temple: 5 min walk from here. Very good place to meditate. 2. Six of us went to a Indian classical music concert. 3. One guy took four of us to a Horse race. It is first time to see a horse race for all of us. Food: Sangeeta restaurant, serves Indian food, is nearby. Swiggy, uber eats are best options.

It's a nice hostel with friendly and helpful staff. The place is really good to relax. The place has dorms but also private rooms. There is a shared kitchen and living room with a huge TV. Down there is a map drown on the wall with useful info about the city. The place is close to some tourist attractions.

Really enjoyed my stay here. The location is just okay, but it is made up for with really nice facilities. The dorm beds have individual curtains and electrical outlets (2 plugs!) and lockers. Kitchen is nice, too. Free coffee and toast in the morning.

Good place for backpackers to stay. Situated at one of the main locations of the city. Easy access to many tourist locations. Bus stand nearby. Lacks parking space for vehicles and kitchen was not stocked for breakfast or regular cooking.

I had to mark it down and leave a fingerprint behind, as first Libyan traveller to visit Red lollipop hostel in Chennai in India, and most likely first to visit the city since we Libyans don't really travel much and me knowing the fact that we're only 6 million in population, so that enhances my assumption. I'm glad to share this experience with you, I'd encourage and highly recommend the city and the place where I stayed precisely for those who're seeking for the real taste of Indian food, the place is surrounded by local Indian restaurants and it's also a walking distance to the citycenter. So kind, good hearted, generous and helpful people as well as scrumptious Indian spicy food how amazing ! Had my fair share of hostel stays throughout my travels and this hostel is definitely up there! Super clean and all the amenities you desire and more as a traveler. Perfect value for money, conveniently located next to an ATM, bus stops that take you across the city, beach, airport etc. Staff is super friendly as well, can only warmly recommend this hostel !
