If you are planning to go to this hospital for your baby's care please read my experience before taking further decisions. I took my newborn baby to the one of the senior paediatrician to show the her bulged bellybutton. The doctor was well experienced and he could identify the chance of spreading infection and admitted in the hospital to take antibiotics shots for few days. The things changed after taking the admission. The staffs were very uncomfortable, un cooperative and very rude. There is no any attenders or nurses to give samples to lab, buy medicines or giving medication to patient. Everything has to be done by the bystanders. They wont ever reply your concern if you asked them anything about medicine or patients situation. I got this bad experience from the nursing staffs on 2nd floor.
Very good hospital with excellent doctors.... my mother is being treated by Dr harikrishnan for past 2 years. The hospital gives affordable treatment and hospital staff are friendly and polite too. This is mainly a maternity hospital but now has other departments like ent , dermatology, pulmonology , dentist also. Good and clean premises too. Would recommend...
I would gladly give negative rating if there were any. Being 3 months pregnant and having fever, I have consulted the duty doctor here yesterday evening, since my regular hospital is a bit far away and I was too sick to travel. So my hospital staff suggested to consult a doctor nearby, hence came here. I was told that I have high BP (my BP was low the previous week when checked, during regular checkup by my obgyn). The doctor here have given me meftal 500 (for headache, as I am allergic to paracetamol) and gardenal 60mg (saying I have high BP). Being a doctor, YOU MUST know that these two tablets SHOULD NOT BE prescribed to a pregnant patient as it crosses the placenta. Even a small Google search would be sufficient for that. I haven't had these tablets except the Fluvir tablet which was given for me for the cold. Next day I went to the hospital I usually consult, and the doctor there said the exact same words, that these people should know that these particular tablets should never be prescribed for pregnant patients unless it's unavoidable. My BP was normal by the way. I am glad that I didn't take these tablets the previous night. Being a hospital specially dedicated for pregnancy and pediatrics, such a pathetic service is being given to the patients here, to ruin the name of Dr.Narayana Kurup. A similar experience was shared by a colleague of mine when their 1yr old baby was taken to the duty doctor, who prescribed her a medicine which should only be given to adults, not children. So people out there, if you genuinely care about your loved ones, please never consult the duty doctors here.
Even tho the hospital has a good doctor, but the waiting time here is significantly high as compared to other types of hospitals , at times if u forgot to book early then u would have to wait for like 30-1hrs aprox to even consult a doctor and then the waiting time at the medical pharmacy is also high ,only 1 nurse would be working at most of the time in the medical pharmacy ... I would suggest then to consider increasing the staffs there to help faster or to expand the counter a bit to help other patients.
I recently visited this hospital for a medical consultation, and I have mixed feelings about my experience. While the duration of the doctor consultation was impressively short, the excessive waiting time at the hospital pharmacy left a lot to be desired. First and foremost, I must commend the hospital for its efficient doctor consultation process. I was pleasantly surprised when my appointment started promptly, and the doctor gave me ample time to explain my medical concerns. The positive experience with the doctor was overshadowed by the frustrating wait at the hospital pharmacy. Despite the swift consultation, I was disappointed to discover that obtaining the prescribed medication would not be as seamless. While I understand that some delay is inevitable due to the volume of patients and the complexity of prescription processing, prolonged waiting for prescribed medicine is excessive and unacceptable. It is disheartening to have such a discrepancy in service quality between the doctor's consultation and the pharmacy experience. This prolonged wait time significantly diminished the positive impression created during my consultation and left me feeling frustrated and inconvenienced. The hospital should prioritise improving their pharmacy services to ensure a more streamlined and efficient experience for patients. Despite the pharmacy issues, I appreciate the overall quality of medical care provided by the hospital. The swift doctor consultation demonstrated their commitment to efficient healthcare delivery. However, it is crucial for them to address the inefficiencies in their pharmacy operations to enhance the overall patient experience and maintain their reputation as a reliable healthcare provider.
Lack of professional touch
Not a good parking place, waiting seats are bad. Over aal management needs improvement
Better treatments in low budget
But security staffs are very rude,
