RBD Sarovar Portico - Hotel in Bengaluru - Bengaluru Urban, India

I recently booked a 5-night stay at this hotel, and I can't help but express my disappointment with the overall experience. The only redeeming quality of this establishment is its location, which unfortunately doesn't make up for the multitude of issues I encountered. First and foremost, the rooms are incredibly small and lack any form of ventilation or balcony. The cramped space made the stay uncomfortable, and the absence of fresh air only exacerbated the situation. The air in both the corridors and rooms was stale and musty, creating an unpleasant atmosphere throughout the entire hotel. It's disheartening when you look forward to a relaxing stay after a busy day at work, only to be met with the overwhelming scent of dampness. Adding to the dissatisfaction is the hotel's strict "no visitor" policy. This policy not only hinders the possibility of having friends or family join you during your stay but also contributes to an isolating atmosphere. While I understand the need for security, such a stringent policy can make guests feel unwelcome and trapped within the confines of their small and stuffy rooms. To make matters worse, the staff does not want to help out in any way. Whether it's addressing concerns about the room conditions or absolutely anything else, the staff appears uninterested and unresponsive. The lack of willingness to assist guests only compounds the frustration of an already disappointing experience. On top of all these issues, the absence of soundproofing in the rooms is a significant drawback. Throughout the night, I could hear the constant traffic noise and even the bells of neighboring rooms, making it nearly impossible to get a good night's sleep. The lack of sound insulation adds yet another layer of discomfort to an already subpar stay. After spending 3 nights at this hotel (one of which I thankfully spent elsewhere), I'm contemplating checking out and booking another place for the remaining two nights. The combination of cramped quarters, unpleasant odors, restrictive visitor policies, and unhelpful staff has left me regretting my decision to stay here for an extended period. I would caution anyone considering a booking at this hotel to think twice and explore other options that offer a more enjoyable and comfortable experience, coupled with a staff that is genuinely committed to guest satisfaction.

They don't know how to do service. I got a wifi problem and they cleared it after 45 minutes. Rooms are really good.may be with some experienced staff they can provide good services. The TV is not working in my room and they came and fixed it as soon as they could. Breakfast was good,but the service at breakfast could have been much better.

Comfortable stay, very friendly staffs, clean and beautiful rooms. Basant & Mithilesh from housekeeping department were so approachable and were reachable for any help throughout my stay for 4 days. Breakfast was great and had multiple options. In house dine- in was also great and spontaneous. Special thanks to Ambika and Deb from restaurant

Rooms are bit small but well maintained. The party hall on the top floor is also beautiful and well decorated.. Except for the dining area at the entrance of the hall .. Looks odd .

We had our son's first birthday party here and the experience was pathetic. One of the concerned person Ankith is there to fool people. We told them in advance that our guest list has reduced due to some unfortunate circumstances and he said we will charge you only for guests who will come. At the time of payment they said we need to pay for 30 guests minimum even when the guests were only 20. They did not communicate before we book the restaurant. Also food was not upto the mark. We went for tasting before booking and we clearly told them the areas they need to work on, but they didn't bother about it. I would not recommend anyone for parties here at this place. For me it's actually zero out of 5 stars.

The rooms here are good. But remember that even if you book a room for 3, they might assign you a small room for 2 when they are completely booked. So advance booking does not matter. We had booked 2 rooms for 6 persons and they could manage one room for 3 people after requesting. We had to book one more extra room in a nearby hotel due to this. The service here is good. Housekeeping do their job well. Room is kept clean and tidy. The breakfast spread was superb at least for my requirements and I've no complaints. The table service was prompt too. Complaints: The TV connection with free channels is completely useless. When you pay this amount, you expect full spectrum of channels to be available. Even basic hotels in Goa have this. There should be a bucket and mug available inside the washroom as otherwise the tap is of no use. A fan should be there when AC is not required. There was no way to know if the AC was working or not unless you turned it on assuming it's on and wait for 10-15 mins. The billing is very slow, so be prepared for 15 mins of time for them to do final billing. The elevator doors close pretty fast, so be aware otherwise you'll get hit. Overall I would rate this place as very good for accomodation with room for improvements.

I had traveled a long way to meet my friend, and I was forced to stay in the lobby room.Initially, they told my friend that day visitors were allowed, but later they changed their stance, denying me access. Unfortunately, there were no sofas or comfortable furniture, and there was no water provided for visitors, nor any warm welcome. This rule of restricting visitors is not something I've encountered in any other hotels. Completely dissatisfieddd with this experience!!! Also, the room was very small and the staff is really rude.
