Rayakottai Fort Trek Starting Point - Tourist attraction in Rayakottai - Krishnagiri, India

Nice 1 and a half hours hike. Really nice view. Town is accessible ( restaurants and hospitals). Good half day event. The place is not well maintained. Trek path is covered with plastic.

Excellent hike. We hiked in a group during day time. Took us about couple of hours to reach top. Initially there are some steps and then you need to hike through a trail. There are some ruins of fort on top. Hill is completely covered with trees and shrubs so very scenic. Great place to hike for a day. It took us couple of hours to reach the base from Bangalore.

Good for trekking. Short one day trip at rayakottai. 75 km from Bangalore, 35 km from hosur.

Riding in bike gives to best experience as you will be travelling almost 19km from highway through country side views.

Difficulty level is moderate. There are 2 peaks. The 1st peak has a very pleasing wind flow. The route has thorns so do wear a full trouser. Limited parking space at the starting point.

We reached there around afternoon. The villagers are very friendly, they helped us park the car in the road side. We did the full trek, where initally there is a fleet of steps. Its a moderate trek. There is also another option where you van go half way in your vehicle and then trek a little, not very steep..

Decent 1 day trekking spot...No much people around...carry your water and snacks..there are trails and steps to the top..enjoy the view..please dont litter....

No starting point. Language problem no body speaks other than tamil No proper guidance anywhere.
