Ray Of Maya Retreat and Resorts - Hotel in Agra - Agra, India

The stay at the hotel was nice and cosy with the room being very spacious and with adequate furnishings. Location is wonderful with Taj Mahal West Gate being less than a kilometer away. But unfortunately Google Maps shows a wrong location so had a hard time finding it. Besides it is sitauated in a narrow shabby lane which added onto the difficulty. The rooms in the front half have a balcony attached but sadly the doorlock of our balcony was broken and we didn't take the risk to open it keeping in mind the security issues. Rooms are perfectly clean and tidy and the room lights adding on a beautiful charm to the tour. There were no issues with the AC, TV or Refrigerator and had adequate charging points. The wifi was not that high speed but didn't had any connectivity issues. The bathroom is small for room 3 (bigger in other rooms that we were shown but had to reject them as they were not fit for 3 people), where I stayed. Though the bathroom facilities were modern and are of high standards, maintenance is poor. The Manger and staff are extremely friendly and generous, with quick room service. I recommend this hotel to all the travellers who prefer to stay at a silent place and spend their leisure time.

Very basic hotel. Only a soap bar was provided, no shampoo or bath gel. Towels and bed sheets did not feel clean but looked ok. It's not directly on the main Street, so it was somewhat quiet. The room had anti mosquito devices which could be plugged into the wall. Staff was nice.

Great location! Just a short, 15-minute walk to the Taj Mahal which we were able to arrive in time for sunrise. Comfortable beds in well-decorated rooms. Unfortunately, the shower was only luke-warm. Very helpful staff.

Good rooms. But they should be more focus on cleanliness. Towels was so rough. Wc flush button wasn't working properly. They have window where a person can see you from outside easily which was quite annoying. Floor wiper was inside in shower area.

The Ray of Maya hotel is clean, very calm, rooms are confortable and the air conditioning works perfectly. The team is very kind and helpful. The location is great : at 10 / 15 minutes of walk (through a garden) of the Taj Mahal. Moreover, you can have dinner and breakfast in the Maya hotel, just on the other side of the street : the place is beautiful and the food delicious.

Very nice quality/price ratio for Agra, close to the city centre (practical to visit the Taj Mahal), nice decoration, one bedroom and one small extra living room on the other side. Clean, with a view on a very green and relaxing park. Helpful receptionist.

Off the main street so a little quieter but still practical and within tuk tuk distance (or walking distance) of the Taj Mahal. Manager and staff were particularly helpful and understanding to us as we had just been through a rough couple of days. They helped us out of potential scams and let us check out late after our 4 year old got sick. Heartily recommend.
