Ratan Biriyani Center - Fast food restaurant in Kolkata - Kolkata, India

I just had Ratan Biryani Centre's Mutton Biryani and I have to admit this was one of the best plate Biryani I've had in recent memory. The taste was delicious, the quantity of the rice was sufficient, the piece of potato was huge and the mutton piece was quite big. The price was reasonable too. Overall quite satisfied.

Excellent biriyani centre which is basically a roadside open to sky stall located at Ranikuthi 3 point road crossing of Tollygunge area at South Calcutta, and outside the boundary wall of "Ranikuthi Telephone Exchange" Govt . Building. The food quality of biriyani is very superb. I am seeing this roadside stall since many years but first time when I tried both their Chicken Egg biriyani ( Rs 130 per packet as on Nov'23) and Egg Biriyani (Rs 80 per packet as on Nov'23) at home for my family after buying from this shop, I liked their taste very much. The quantity of food in each packet is also quite good.

An amazing experience we had. We went there after watching Ranvir Brar's video. And also a lot of verbal positive publicity. The Biryani was awesome. This will NOT be an overstatement if I say that they serve one of the best Biryanis in the city which reputed restaurants fail. The rice was perfect. Flavour was perfect. Comparatively less oily and mild steamy. Mutton was perfectly cooked. And they top it up with chicken gravy just the right amount. And also a boiled egg. Perfect experience @ 150/plate. Streetside stall with no such atmosphere to look at.

Practically this is a street food joint who sells Biriyani all days of the year, morning to late evening. Other Mughlai items are also on their menu. One can order half plate Biriyani served on a piece of banana leaf and sit over a stool on pavement amidst chaos of traffic and enjoy it. The price is very moderate and can be taken out on order.

Biriyani is very taste less Quantity and quality is very poor. I will recommend don't eat biriyani from there mutton was not cooked properly. Rice quantity was very less.

Ratan biriyani centre in competition to nearby biriyani outlets serves some delicious kolkata styled biriyani. Served in "kolapata" the biriyani contains fined grain rice...with a big piece of aloo and chicken or mutton. Last week I had tried their "Mutton biriyani" costed Rs 150 which contained 1 piece aloo 1 piece of mutton, 1 egg and rice. The quantity of the biriyani was enough for a single person. Location: This biriyani centre is located just near Ranikuthi More.... One availing metro.... the near station is tollygunj from where you can get an auto. From Jadavpur and Baghajatin direct auto routes are there to come to this place.

I know the name is famous, 1. The quantity of rice given in parcel is very less. 2. I got food poisoning along with 2 of my family members after eating from here. If you have good stomach system, you can try. Or else there are plenty fish in the market.

Saw so many youtube videos about this one and tried it yesterday and only one think to say overhyped. The rice was chewy and bit hard and small grain rice was used. But the mutton was good and soft. As this was my 1st time trying this, I don't know if this is always the case or not but i didn't like it that much
