RAS Residency - Hotel in Kumbakonam - Thanjavur, India

Easily accessible location with ample parking which would be a challenge in the town. Rooms are good but house keeping needs to upkeep much more. Room service, house keeping , restaurant and front office staff are very friendly. Ideal and calm hotel for travellers coming to visit temples around Kumbakonam. Food is awesome, they serve nice complementary vegetarian breakfast ; other menu for lunch or dinner is pretty decent, very nice preparation,tasty and value for money. Special appreciations to the chef. Overall , I would recommend for families to comfortably stay here .

Stayed with family for 2 nights, overall experience was mixed. Room was quite large with decent amenities. Room Service was not that great. Cleanliness was not that good, when we arrived the bed sheets were dirty, which were called in to be replaced and was done immediately. The room was not cleaned on the second day even after requesting for 2 times at reception. The big upside though was the restaurant and food quality, it was top notch. I must thank the entire restaurant staff for their great hospitality, special thanks to the restaurant manager, who helped to prepare special meals for my toddler. Anyways being in a place where the prime objective is to worship, the services offered I believe were nothing close to be complained about, however the above points can only make it closer to perfection as that can easily be achieved with some amends. Also as a matter of fact when we pay 3500 inr per night. , the expectation just gets a bit higher in all aspects. Good luck team RAS residency.

From Singapore 2 family stay there 1 day. The hotel was booked by Welcome Tours and Travel Pvt Ltd. Excellent services. Very clean rooms. Staffs are very friendly. Restaurants food very nice. Staffs in restaurant also very friendly n excellent services. Very very satisfied

We stayed for only one night & it was a noteworthy experience. The staff with their service was great but the location of the hotel is not within vicinity of the temples it's bit far from the crowded places which is also a good thing as your stay will be at silent location.

I am giving 3 stars due to the improvements required. The Good points: - Clean and neat rooms - Very new property - Good quality and tasty food. The improvement areas: - The waste collected from the rooms are kept in the staircase area on each floor. It will attract pests and an eyesore. used cups, food items, moped items etc.. - Very less service/maintenance staff. During checkout i found at least 3 rooms fully open and bedsheets/towels lying inside & spilling on to corridor. some one was doing half job in preparing the room after guest checkout. - We went for breakfast at 9:30am and almost all the tables were dirty and not a single one was cleaned. I had to get the restaurant person (who was busy on phone) to clean a table for us. The wash area was even more dirty with wet paper towels all over. - All the left over from the 1st floor party hall (Baloons, tables, chairs) were kept haphazard near the lift in the M floor. Don't they have a proper storage area to keep all these items? The hotel is very good but badly needs proper & timely clearing and maintenance(cleaning) else will get worse in the days to come. I hope the management takes due note and gets this fixed. It's a great hotel and if it's well kept (listed above) will remain a great place!

We stayed in this hotel during our trip to India especially in Kumbakonam and we were pleasantly surprised at how clean and luxurious it was. The service was great and their complimentary breakfast was excellent too! Their waitress Ms. Tamil and the lady that attend to us for breakfast (I forgot to ask her name) were very attentive and helpful. We will definitely come back to RAS Residency for our next trip. Thank you guys!

A HOMELY HEAVEN: RAS RESIDENCY EXCEEDS EXPECTATIONS! My stay at RAS Residency in Kumbakonam was nothing short of fantastic. The Booking and Check-out process was incredibly smooth, Thanks to the assistance of Ms. Safrin, who not only helped me efficiently but also offered a Discount, which was a pleasant surprise. The staff at the hotel were very kind and polite, creating an atmosphere that felt akin to that of a 5-Star Hotel. The location of the Hotel is excellent, and the rooms are Spacious, Immaculately Clean, and Well-maintained. The Contemporary Room Interiors added a touch of elegance to the overall Experience. They even provided a kettle with a Tea and Coffee making Kit, which was a thoughtful touch. The cleanliness of the bathrooms was remarkable. The Restaurant on the Middle Floor provided breathtaking views that felt almost Heavenly. While I couldn't try the complimentary Breakfast due to my Temple schedule, I have no doubt it would have been delightful based on the overall experience. The Hospitality extended by the Staff was exceptional and truly made my stay memorable. I wholeheartedly recommend RAS Residency to anyone visiting Kumbakonam. A special thanks to Ms. Safrin for making my stay even more enjoyable. 100% recommended!
