2.5km trail, took around 1.5hrs uphill and 1hr downhill. First 0.5km in forest is a bit steep, rest is a gradual hike. There are 2 parallel peaks, both offers a decent to good view. Appreciate the provision of railings for support and seating arrangements at regular intervals. Single use plastic strictly prohibited at entry. Entry timings 8am to 3pm.

The lush greenery and dense forests of Ranipuram make it an ideal spot for trekking and hiking. The trails are relatively unspoiled, allowing you to connect with the pristine environment. The panoramic views from the hilltops are absolutely breathtaking. The weather is pleasantly cool throughout the year.It is challenging for elderly individuals due to the need for a fair amount of walking and trekking.Trekking early in the morning is a great idea when visiting Ranipuram Hill Station. The cooler temperatures and the peaceful ambiance during the early hours make it an ideal time to explore the trails and enjoy the natural beauty of the area

This is an easy but beautiful trek. Only 2.5km one way. You can take the ticket at the entrance. Mostly exposed part. So better to take a hat and sunscreen. Also take water. Climbing on the last rock can be skipped if you get tired. Start early to avoid rush and sun ...

Ranipuram Hills is a hill station located in the Kasaragod district of Kerala, India. It is also known as the "Ooty of Kerala" due to its cool climate and lush green hills. The hills are surrounded by dense forests and offer stunning views of the surrounding countryside. There are several trekking trails in the area, making it a popular destination for nature lovers. The name "Ranipuram" means "Queen's Hill" in Malayalam. The hills are said to have been named after a queen who once lived there. There is a small temple dedicated to the queen on the hilltop. The best time to visit Ranipuram Hills is during the monsoon season (June to September) when the hills are lush and green. However, the hills can be visited year-round. There are several trekking trails in the area, ranging from easy to challenging. The hills have a cool climate, making it a refreshing escape from the heat of the plains. There are several resorts in the area where you can relax and enjoy the scenery.

I don't even remember how many times I've been to this place, but it's one of my fave places. You will never be dissatisfied by this place. breathtaking view of the mountains from all angles. After a few hours of walking, you will reach the mountains after beginning your trek in the forest. The summit's maximum elevation is roughly 1000 metres, making it the tallest peak in the Kasaragod area, and both the uphill and downhill treks take about 5 kilometres. Even for beginners, trekking is simple and worthwhile. The best service is provided by the staff, who are all incredibly pleasant and helpful. There are parking facilities available. Each adult must pay 50 rupees for the walk. and if you bring plastic bottles on your trek, you'll need to pay an additional deposit (the deposit will be returned if you return the plastic bottle). The ideal travel window is from August to September. (Best weather, with occasionally cloudy views) In cold or wet weather, leeches will be present along the route; it is therefore preferable to have sanitizer or salt to remove them from the skins. If you want to be prepared for any emergency demands, always take a bottle of water and some food. There are a few small stores next to the ticket window.
