A good place to enjoy jeep safari with family. Around 30 km from Rookie. I went there in last week of December 2022 and could see spotted deer, neelgai, wild boar, peacock and quite a variety of birds. The view of forest was enthralling. The safari lasts for approximately 2 and half hours. Cost is approximately around Rs. 4000 for 6 people. There are two slots - 6-9 am and 3-6 pm. You can book safari slot in advance online by paying 700 and remaining amount once you reach there. Gypsy has a capacity for 6 adults.

Rajaji tiger reserve is not too famous but I personally liked it because of the dense forest and variety of flora and fauna. We were fortunate to sight a leopard, however, we were not able to capture it in our lens. Also we spotted the usual, spotted deers, nilgai, sambhaar deers, peacocks, monkeys, owls, parakeets, etc.

Nice place for birding. The safari route is on a single road instead of a circle and the left side of the road will have a view of human habitat and houses. We saw a good number of bird species and a few lifers. Overall it was a good birding experience.

Important note - Do check opening time and month before visiting here. This park remains close during monsoon period (from July to mid November) Best time to visit here for safari is during winter (Dec to jan) as you can sight various wildlife. On the right side , A road connects a famous and sidhh temple dedicated to "maa Sureshwari devi ". Sureshwari temple is mini picnic spot too. Just bring your food and enjoy winter noon here. The route is a jungle route (though proper RCC road is there) where you may encounter with deers , elephant , sambar, peacocks etc. You can view jungle from temple top.

Leopard is sure shot if you got that patience and so many other wildlife.

Could have been better had the safari ride been longer.

It is nice place with full greenery. I could see the sambar, nil gai, deer from gate. Now forest is closed. It will open from October.
