One of the oldest city and railway station under Asansol rail division with a dense populatio n.station is clean and maintained.Few old structure in the station will memorise the british time.

Very clean station. The LED lights which show train coach numbers are not present in the platform, so that's a very serious problem for the passengers who travel by Mail/Express/Super Fast trains (I saw it at platform number 4). You have to hear the announcement carefully for coach position. You can get bus for going Asansol,Bankura and Susunia from the bus stop which is present nearby the station.

Clean railway station. RPF are always available for safety and security purpose. Food stalls are available.

The first passenger train in eastern India ran from Howrah to Hooghly on 15 August 1854. The track was extended to Raniganj by 1855. The entire belt between Durgapur (158 km from Howrah), and all the way up to Dhanbad and beyond is industrialized. Apart from factories, there are many coalmines, some closed now, and some with fires burning deep in the mineshafts. The mining area extends for a large area, mostly to the south of the tracks. Quite a portion of the track passes through cuttings, where the surrounding area is higher than the track level, resulting in the profusion of characteristic small masonry bridges crossing the track The Waria-Asansol sector was electrified in 1960-61

I have no such words to say about this most oldest popular Rail Station. Very net and clean with wonderful surrounding, well maintained by Indian Railway

Additionally, the station could benefit from more seating options and shaded areas for passengers waiting for their trains. Expanding the range of amenities and improving their quality would greatly enhance the comfort of passengers. 3. Staff Behavior and Assistance: The behavior of the staff at Raniganj Station was mixed. While some were helpful and accommodating, others seemed disinterested or lacked the necessary knowledge to assist passengers effectively. Better training and a customer-centric approach could improve the overall interaction between staff and passengers, ensuring a more pleasant experience for travelers. 4. Connectivity and Timeliness: Raniganj Station serves as an important railway junction, connecting various cities and towns. The availability of train services to different destinations is adequate. However, it is important to note that train schedules and timeliness can sometimes be inconsistent. Ensuring better adherence to schedules and providing timely updates would greatly benefit passengers and improve their overall experience. 5. Safety and Security: Safety measures at Raniganj Station seemed to be reasonably adequate. There were visible security personnel patrolling the premises, which provided a sense of security. However, better lighting in certain areas and the installation of additional security features could further enhance the safety of passengers, particularly during late hours. In conclusion, Raniganj Station offers an average experience for passengers. While the station serves its primary purpose as a transportation hub, there are areas that require attention, such as infrastructure, amenities, staff behavior, and timeliness.
