Amazing It is Well maintained , Neat & Clean. It's step well with eye catching sculpture. superb carving on sand stone. It's World Heritage site. Beautiful surrounding Garden with well planned Landscape.
This architectural Indian marvel was on my list for a very long time and I was fortunate to visit it yesterday during my Solo motorcycle ride to Patan. The site is perfectly maintained and the garden landscaping is exquisite. The step well is spectacle and I spent a lot of time just admiring the workmanship and how they managed it! Unbelievably in the perfect condition as it was discovered only in the late 1950s. Helmets off to ASI for managing the site so well. 100% recommended.
One of the best place in terms of architecture and construction of step well. There are depictions of Hindu lords on the walls. This is the place which is displayed in 100 Indian currency. There is water available as well however I don't think it's good for drinking right now. Well maintained place. There are guides available to explain the history of the place. There are restrooms and parking facilities.
Definitely a place worth visiting. Special recommendations: take a guide, it's worth it. Such a amazing architecture, carving, and design. The way it portray our history, legends, is just amazing. This is a seven floor structure built below ground level. And the way everything is carved out and the patola design is awesome. This is a must visit place and not be missed.
It's a must visit historic place. Our great ancestral kings and queens had such genius artisans and designers during those times who had phenomenal understanding of geometry and physics to build such an intricate water well. How design rich were their minds. It's a World Heritage Site now. Best time to visit is early morning by 9-10am or in evening 4.30-6pm. It closes by 6.30pm. Not much else to see there. Will hardly take an hour or even less to see it. Very elderly might find it difficult to climb the stone stairs. Security guards are helpful to click photos. No need to hire guides there. Most of the information is written on placards at the entry.
Rani Ki Vav is an amazing step well with amazing sculptures. As it was covered with sand due to flood, the sculptures are well preserved. While going down the well you have to remember that you will need to climb up later
Very nice place... More than 1000 year old....Must visit if you are near by...With friends and family.... Tickets... Monday closed.... Nicely maintained... UNESCO World heritage site.. Take guide....Carry water bottle....
It's one of the most beautiful step well that I have ever seen in my life. It's simple wonderful can't imagine how beautifully the step well has been decorated. Marvelous carving everywhere on the wall, celling and pillars. It's also UNESCO world heritage site. You need maximum 20-30 minutes to visit this place. Ticket price is Rs40 Indian and Rs600 for foreigners. You can get a rickshaw for 100rs easily from the railway station or from the bus station. I'm not giving 5 star because you are not allowed to go to the 4 and 5 level that was bit disappointment.
