Rangoli Retreat - Hotel in Matheran - Raigad, India

Gone there recently based on previous experience of a decade ago. Though it has reasonable ok food and a vegetarian hotel, many things have gone downwards: a. Poor condition and unclean rooms b. Network connectivity and hotel Wi-Fi bad c. Call waiters for hot water geyser and TV continuously d. Needs lot of renovation and upgradation e. No view through windows. You'll prefer them shut all times.

Stayed here for a weekend. The rooms are simple , service is very good, the staff was super responsive. At night they have dj too and they have a carrom board . They also have a swimming pool but it was not clean enough. Also we stayed on 2nd floor , there the wifi was not coming , but network was manageable so wasn't a deal breaker for us. Had poha in breakfast here which was well made . The location of this hotel is superb. All in all this is a very good option in matheran to stay at a very good location with few cons here & there .

I recently stayed at this hotel and had an excellent experience! The food was absolutely amazing - in fact, it was so good that I ended up extending my stay for an extra night just to enjoy it again. The location is great, and the play area for kids was a hit with my family. Plus, all of the meals were vegetarian and very kid-friendly, which was a huge plus. The room was clean and well-maintained, and while I did notice some used pillow covers, it wasn't a big deal considering everything else was so great. The staff was incredibly courteous and went out of their way to make sure we had a wonderful stay. There was even a disco and karaoke if we wanted to have some fun. The only improvements I could suggest would be better water in the swimming pool and improving the dry cleaning of the linens. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a fun and relaxing getaway. The combination of great food, friendly staff, and fun activities for both kids and adults made for an unforgettable stay. I will definitely be back!

I would never ever suggest anyone to book this hotel . service was pathetic . we went with our family and kid 4 yr old . they just give you toffee saying station is exactly opposite to their hotel ,but the rooms where so dirty they charged us more fr one day and the rooms was so so dirty that we didn't imagined . the photos which they have sent and the room what we got totally opp . the money we paid in that we have stayed in 5 star property in mumbai ( Radisson hotel/ Melhua / Ramada .) They told us to wait as they wanted to clean the room bt the room was uncleaned , blanket was used one i can't evn mention here ,may be some other couple must have used it earlier and they have kept same one . think before you guys book it .

Best hotel I ever seen, food is delicious and even service is excellent, just opposite yo matheran railway station. Good location, Delicious food, Excellent service, Good staff behaviour.

This hotel delivers great hospitality with clean rooms, approachable staff and the best veg food we have ever had. For 5 people 1500 per person inclusive of stay (2 big beds & 1 sofa cum bed) and meals (lunch-evening tea-dinner and next day breakfast). Every staff that we interacted with was humble and polite.

Rooms are small but clean.. bit issue with Cockroach in washroom but was clear.. Food taste is good... Staff is very courteous n cooperative. swimming pool is too small.. only for kids n too much chlorine...Mr. Mili6 very supportive.. While paying advance we had little doubt but he does video call n clear that he is authorised person from Rangoli Retreat..

Horrible manager, almost like a gunda. Changed the room rate mid conversation and really rude. Result of low IQ breeding. Avoid.
