Visited this place after finding it out from Google Maps when searching for breakfast places in Karkala. We visited on a Saturday at around 7.30 and there were few people present. We tried the following: idli sambhar, buns, poori bhaji, vegetable bonda. The items were served very quickly and was fresh as well. More items become available such as dosa, shavvige as time passes by. The seating space is for about 20 people. Parking might be an issue but space available in the adjoining areas. Prices are pocket friendly as well. They have snack and sweet items for sale as well. Very much underrated place and a must visit.
Overall, if you're looking for an old eatery with good food and service, this hotel is definitely worth a visit. From the delicious dishes to the warm hospitality, you're in for a delightful experience. Must try Beetroot samosa Batani avlakki Tea/coffee
Had a plate of Neer Dosa. Sambar was simply superb and the Coconut chutney complimented well. The best was however the Sugar-free Tea. Probably that's the best tea I have had in a very long time. Highly recommend this place for a quick bite.
An old place to enjoy lip smacking dishes.
Visited this hotel after seeing a vlog about it on YouTube. This has to be one of the oldest and most famous hotels which serves classic Udupi breakfast items such as Buns, Goli Baje, Dosa, Bread Bonda, Idli Sambar, KT, Malt and filter coffee. They have limited number of tables, around 6 of them, service is superfast. The snacks tasted yum. They also have a counter where packed snacks are sold. Overall a must visit place.
An old rustic establishment that serves the best K-Tea and breakfast items. It's become a must visit place for me every time I visit Karkala . A special mention to the rava masal dosa , kadle bajil , chole batura . Also don't miss out on the home made bakery items and sweets they have to offer. The Mysore pak was a hit among my colleagues back home. Only drawback would be the that we have to share the table with random people but maybe that appeals to it's rustic feel . The service is so fast that you're done eating before you get to know your table mate so maybe it's not that bad .
Old canteen vibe! Food quality is very good and at a very reasonable price. Staff is very welcoming and friendly.
I hope one of the oldest Hotel in Karkala, the owner must be around 80+. Here Food is having a good taste must try Idli thove, masala dose, podis and KT. Along with you will get snacks. Everyone once try this hotel.
