This historical monument was created during the Ahom kingdom almost 300 years ago. You can always google it if you are interested about history,,, but my concern is that the government has maintained it well the surrounding garden is clean and well maintained but what i don't like is that people are writing their names on the walls of the monument and this is not just one or two ,,, plenty of names as well as some symbols were made on the walls,,,
One of the oldest pavillion in India. Great architecture and construction. Beautiful view. Well maintained. But you can buy tickets only in Online mode. Which is absurd. Because there are still people that they doesn't know how to pay by online mode. If you want to experience the buffalo fight which is happened to this pavillion in the time of Maagh bihu (from January 14) you must visit Morigaon district of Assam after Maagh Bihu.
The largest amphitheatre of Asia, Rang Ghar is in Sivsagar, Assam. We visited here on 19th June. The place is very nice and well maintained. The "Archeological Survey of India" is upkeeps this. There is a vast garden in front of this. I liked it.
