A short trip outside khajuraho and well worth it. It was in November so not much of a waterfall but the topography was amazing. You buy a ticket for access to the national park and you get a guide and access to the wildlife park as well. Make time for this.

Mesmerizing place to visit. It is The beautiful creation of mother nature. What is the power of a comet, one can feel easily. The various coloured rocks created a mind blowing view. Though in winter lack of water shows down the waterfall, but you can enjoy the rainbow rocks by heart. Must visit if you are in khajuraho.

Raneh water falls is 20 km away from Khajuraho which can be reached by 30 minutes as the road is good and we went by 2 wheeler. Taxi and autos are available from Khajuraho. As we visited in the winter, water flow was very less. We enjoyed the multicolored rock formation. Though it was dry, it is very impressive. Beautiful location for photography. During our visit we have seen the jackal on the way to falls as Ken garial sanctury is close by. A small tea shop is available near falls and washrooms too. The falls is closed on Wednesday after 12 noon so plan accordingly. Don't miss this natural rock formation and water fall if you're visiting Khajuraho.

A natural waterfall and canyon made of pure granite. The shades of granite is very colorful. I visited here during summer hence the watet level was pretty low but still the place was beautiful. You need to pay fee to enter the place and there will be a guide assigned to you which is included in the fee. We spotted deer, Hyna and Owl in the area.

Absolution mesmerizing waterfall near the main Khauraho temples. The sheer amount of water during the rainy seasons is both scary and beautiful at the same time. I had the pleasure of witnessing the same during my short Khauraho trip. The distance is roughly 8-10 kms from the Khajuraho temples. Usually a cab or other private vehicle is recommended as a mode of transport. There is also a forest guest house just before the entry to the falls...The government also chanrges nominal entry fee to visit it. If you're going in the rainy season , this is a must visit place although entire Khajuraho is lush green and pleasant during the season.

Raneh waterfall is a very beautiful and popular sightseeing place with locals and tourists. A natural waterfall and canyon made of pure granite. The shades of granite is very beautiful. On entrance gate rs. 50/- per person charged by forest department representative rs. 250/- entry fee for car and rs. 75/- as forest guide fee. Raneh waterfall is a peaceful sightseeing place, the natural beauty of rocks and forest. Winter can be an excellent time for visiting there. Animals are more active and visible during this season. You may have the opportunity to see animals like deer, hyenas, and owls in that area spotted.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Raneh Water Falls during the summer, and I must say, it was a truly mesmerizing experience. Located approximately 22 km from Khajuraho, this natural waterfall and canyon made of pure granite is a sight to behold. Despite visiting during the summer when the water level was relatively low, the place still exuded its undeniable beauty. The shades of granite, ranging from pink and red to grey, created a stunning visual display that left me in awe. The contrasting colors added a touch of vibrancy to the surroundings, making it a photographer's paradise. To enter the falls, you must pay a fee, which includes the allocation of a guide. I found this arrangement quite convenient as the guide was knowledgeable and provided valuable insights about the area. Additionally, the fee contributes towards the conservation and upkeep of the falls, ensuring that visitors have a pleasant experience. As I explored the falls, I was pleasantly surprised to spot various wildlife in their natural habitat. Deer, hyenas, and even owls could be seen in the surrounding area, adding an element of wildlife appreciation to the visit. It was a pleasant surprise to witness these animals in such close proximity while enjoying the beauty of the falls. Transportation to the falls is readily available, with taxis, cabs, and local autos offering day tours from Khajuraho. This convenience made the journey to the falls hassle-free and allowed me to fully immerse myself in its beauty without any logistical concerns. The falls are situated along the Ken River, which forms a 5-kilometer long and 30-meter deep canyon made entirely of crystalline granite. The series of waterfalls within the canyon create a picturesque sight that words fail to truly capture. The natural grandeur of the area leaves visitors spellbound and longing for more. One piece of advice I would offer is to ensure you arrive at the falls before 5 pm, as it closes at 6:30 pm. This will allow you ample time to explore and fully appreciate the beauty of Raneh Water Falls without feeling rushed. In conclusion, my visit to Raneh Water Falls was an unforgettable experience. From the colorful shades of granite to the wildlife sightings, every aspect of the falls left me in awe. If you are in the Khajuraho area, I highly recommend taking a day tour to this natural wonder. The fee for entry and the assigned guide are well worth it, as they contribute to the preservation of this beautiful landscape. Don't miss out on the chance to witness the magnificence of Raneh Water Falls for yourself.
