Small but nice aquarium to watch some species of fishes and turtles. I think they should also keep reptiles/snakes to make it more interesting. Butterfly garden construction is in progress and I hope it will open soon. Ticket price is Rs.30 for adults and Rs.15 for kids. Parking charge is Rs.20 for cars and Rs.10 for two wheelers.
Loved the place and cleanliness of the place . Situated inside the lush green jungle which always keeps you mesmerised. You have paid bike and car parking. The only thing I found as a drawback is their toilets. These are poorly maintained with no water and stinks to the core.
Ranchi aquarium is opposite to the zoological park, just the same way as Alipore. Aquarium is good, but it does need to increase the number of sea creatures. Only interesting things I found are stingrays and piranhas. For novices and laymen like us it might be largely disappointing. They are also planning to open a garden dedicated to only butterflies, which might be interesting.
Good place to visit for children if you stay nearby. Won't suggest to someone who lives far away. Maybe if you want to visit Ormanjhi zoo then you can visit Machlighar too. Place is nice and small. I liked the vibe. Adding a video of the place for reference
Nice aquarium... However they could have spent more on the interior.. The inside wall is cement made and paint color is slightly dull.
A beautiful place to visit. If you are planning to visit this place then you should also add 'Birsa Zoological Park' to the list since it is situated opposite the aquarium. Here you can see some beautiful fish species (Loosely termed- River Shark, piranha, sting rays etc)

120 + species of fishes found in Ranchi ormanjhi national park and many wild animal like tiger , elephant,peacock lion ,and small animals are here I love this place and we rnjoy a lot I clicked many memories and I feel very proud to be born in Ranchi
A gteat highway side resturent for refreshment during journey to Patralu or Netarhat. Quality of service and food are amazing. PRICE are also reasonable. Good atmosphere and plenty of space for parking as well doaming around while on aong journey.
