Very important Junction in Sealdah division. The trains on Bongaon line departs at scheduled time. Many people thronge to catch trains for their different destinations.

This junction consists of 6 platform and some other lines available for train stoppage.3 overbridge and a subway is locate here.Two ticket counter in platform no. 1-one at GRP Gate. Trains comes and go from Gede,Krishnanagar, Bongaon,Lalgola, sealdah, santipur. Crowding enlarged when train comes. Overall experience is good.

Platform no 1,2,3 are very busy and crowded. But platform no 4,5,6 are normal . Maximum Bongaon local depart and arrived at platform no 4 .It's a good railway station . Escalator facilities available here . Most important junction station for communication among 3or more districts in West Bengal One of the busiest railway station.The Sealdah-Ranaghat sector was electrified in 1963-64. The Ranaghat-Shantipur sector was electrified in 1963-64.The Kalinarayanpur-Krishnanagar City sector was electrified in 1964-65.The Ranaghat-Gede line was electrified in 1999-2000.The Ranaghat-Lalgola section has been electrified on the 2010s .Good urban area , hospital facilities, strictly following laws, civilized ppls, subway exist,you can find any root of train cuz it's junction, from here you can go anywhere,all type of support are available,here varity of good school available,good cbsc,wbbsc schools are available, education systems are too good...... Despite the crowd, I noticed that the station staff made an effort to keep the premises reasonably clean. One aspect that impressed me was the availability of waiting benches at the platform. It's essential for passengers to have a place to sit and wait comfortably, especially when the footfall is high. Ranaghat Station seemed to understand this need. Moreover, the presence of urinals at the platform was a convenient feature, ensuring passengers had access to basic facilities. This is especially crucial for those with long journeys ahead. Additionally, there were drinking water facilities available on the platform. Staying hydrated while traveling is essential, and it was good to see this amenity in place. Overall, I had a good experience at Ranaghat Station. While it may not be the cleanest station I've visited, it certainly catered well to the needs of passengers, with waiting benches, urinals, and drinking water facilities in place. For a station with high footfall, they seem to be doing a commendable job.

Good station but full of TITI so be careful who can't purchase a ticket

Hi All! Ranaghat is very old junction. From here you can go towards Krishnanagar and Sealdah and other station. In this station you will get a crowd. Many small shops and food shop are available in the station.
