Ramtel Inn - Hotel in Madurai - Madurai, India

It is worst, please everyone read this review then decide to book this hotel. I planned 4 days trip to Madurai and rameswaram, it went too good until I reached this hotel. I booked family suite for 4 memebers. First thing room is so bad smell and beds with bed bugs, ripped blankets, bed sheets with lot of stains. And please don't dream about breakfast included, it is one idly one small vada and one small dosa kind but not dosa. We did checkin around 7 pm, when I step in the washroom first time I saw the WC toilet cap broken and informed reception and some plumber came with hammer and did something. Around midnight when I heard some sound and saw toilet broken and on floor. Informed the same thing around 5.40 am and asked to change the room as it is smelling too bad. Then I was shocked when the reception was asked us to use staff toilet for 3 ladies shower. He didn't even feel sorry for inconvenience caused to us and when I asked for separate room he was very aggressive and said no rooms available. Then I said I don't use the staff toilet and washroom. Then after some time he came and said use another room toilet. We used. Finally, when I informed management about the bad service and inconvenience what we faced the way he spoke to me was disgusting, he said "you don't know how to use western toilet and that's why it's broken. This is about hotel room.

My recent stay at Ramtel inn was unfortunately marred by several issues that left me quite dissatisfied with the overall experience. To begin with, upon check-in, I was not informed about the availability of complimentary breakfast for guests. It was only later during my stay that I learned about this offering. This lack of communication was disappointing, as I believe it's essential for guests to be informed of such amenities upon arrival. Moreover, the hotel did not make any courtesy call in the morning to inquire about the availability of breakfast or to provide any relevant information. This lack of communication gave me the impression that the hotel was not concerned about the guests' needs and comfort. One of the most disruptive incidents during my stay was the constant ringing of the bell and knocking on the door in one of the rooms. This disturbance greatly affected the quality of sleep for both myself and my children, making our stay far from peaceful and relaxing. Furthermore, I requested coffee at 6 am through room service, but I was informed that it would only be available after 8.30 am. As a guest, I expected better flexibility and attentiveness, especially in the early hours of the morning. Unfortunately, the room service overall was unsatisfactory. There were delays in responding to our requests, and the staff seemed more concerned about monetary matters rather than prioritizing the guests' needs and comfort. In conclusion, my experience at Ramtel inn on 8th July 2023 was less than satisfactory. The lack of communication, disturbance in one of the rooms, unavailability of coffee at the requested time, and poor room service were significant drawbacks. Think before stay there.

We were 7 people and I have booked a suite of 6 people coz i thought of adjusting with my family. As per hotel policy only 6 people are allowed they seem to be saying and he asked me to pay 800 rs extra for one person i told that's okay and they didn't even gave me extra bed or pillow and reception guy told me he would give complimentary breakfast, when i had break fast in the morning they had charged extra money for breakfast also. When i was speaking to him in english he was not able to understand anything once I started speaking to him in hindi Receptionist guy was very rude to me and was telling me to speak in English only that was very irritating, This is only for receptionist ( if you want to run business with such attitude then kindly show your attitude to yourself coz we are customers to your hotel and we are paying you money you are not giving us room for free ok, if this was in Hyderabad you will also see my behaviour. We are Non locals that is why you behave as you like ). If you need more explanation you have my number.

Rooms are very good and clean but 1.they said breakfast complementary but they are getting items from nearby Non-Veg hotel 2.breakfast timing too late as people wanted to go for temples and will miss for sure 3. parking space is available but located in congested street and near by TASMAC4. No options for coffee and no drinking water. Our experience is not ideal for vegetarian people who wanted to stay in this

Rooms were average....it would have been nice if 2 bathrooms were provided for 6 person suite room but only one was provided. The hotel owner comme manager was very unethical that he provided only 2 complementary breakfast even though we were from 6 bedded suite room.Those who choose to stay in suite rooms never choose this hotel.

I booked for 1 day, due to some reason I extend the check out time for 2 hours, they called me one hour before the check out time and asked, when you going to check out, I said I will extend for 2 hour and I will pay for it, they said ok. when the time of check out they demanded me for full amount and behaved rudely, in that situation I didn't able to anything due to time constraint. I stayed for 1 day but I paid for 2 days amount just for extending the check out time for 2 hours. They don't have proper car parking. So people think twice before you book this hotel...

Rooms were okay for 5K per night, breakfast food is excellent. Room didn't have soap/shampoo/dental kit. Most importantly all the people available are very helpful including the watchman. When asked for extending the check out time, they graciously accepted it.

Looting attitude. Asked to pay for food that was not consumed. Forced to take a higher category room even the standard room was available as we needed it for a shorter period of time because of the late check in. There was no option as other hotels nearby were sold out. No parking. Not recommended.
