The banks of ganga are all very beautiful. But this ghat holds historical as well as mythological significance so it's most often crowded. But it's also mostly clean and beautiful. You can visit the park beside it and sit in front of river Ganga as long as you wish to.

Ramprasad Ghat is a historic ghat located in Halisahar, a town in the North 24 Parganas district of West Bengal, India. The ghat is situated on the banks of the Hooghly River and is named after Ramprasad Sen, a famous Bengali poet, and saint who lived in the 18th century. The ghat was built in the 19th century by the Raja of Halisahar, and it has since been an important landmark of the town. The architecture of the ghat is a beautiful blend of Bengali and Islamic styles, with its wide steps leading down to the water's edge. The ghat is constructed using red bricks and has a white plaster finish, giving it a striking and elegant appearance. Ramprasad Ghat is a popular destination for both tourists and locals. People come to the ghat to take a dip in the holy river and to offer prayers to their ancestors. The ghat is also a favored spot for photographers, who come to capture the stunning views of the river and the surrounding countryside. Ramprasad Ghat is particularly significant for followers of Ramprasad Sen, who regard it as a place of pilgrimage. Ramprasad Sen was a devotee of the goddess Kali, and his devotional poems, known as Ramprasadi, are still recited and sung in Bengal today. The ghat is home to a temple dedicated to the goddess, which is believed to be the spot where Ramprasad Sen used to meditate and compose his poems. In addition to its religious significance, Ramprasad Ghat also has a cultural and historical significance. It has been the site of several important events in Bengal's history, including the arrival of the British East India Company in the 17th century and the Swadeshi movement in the early 20th century. Halisahar is a charming town with a rich cultural heritage. Apart from Ramprasad Ghat, there are several other attractions in the town that are worth visiting, including the Halisahar Rajbari, a historical palace that once belonged to the Raja of Halisahar. The town is also famous for its sweets, especially the famous rasgullas. In conclusion, Ramprasad Ghat in Halisahar is a beautiful and historic site that is of great significance to the people of Bengal. Its stunning architecture, religious importance, and cultural and historical significance make it a must-visit destination for anyone who is interested in exploring the rich heritage of the region.
Good place to view sunrise and sunset. Not very crowded. Maintenance needed. The river looks serene and silvery white. This is the very place where shakti bhakt Sri Ramprasad bathed before entering temple and is the very place where he was last seen before he started his divine journey to the unknown
