It's an ancient fort which is now turned into a museum. There is an entry fee to enter this place and the tickets can be purchased at the entrance. The museum is well maintained, with all the artifacts labelled with their details. Sadly photography is not allowed inside the museum. As a history geek, I really enjoyed my time here.
The old fort on the banks of the river. Looks beautiful from the outside. However, it is not well maintained. There is a small museum inside the fort but it is also not well maintained. Although the view of the river from the fort is picturesque. Good place to spend some time.
This is a sandstone structure built around 1752 A.D by Kashi Naresh Balwant Singh. The fort is blessed with absolute serenity and glorified with some historical structure. There is a small museum inside . Entrance inside this fort is free however the museum has an entrance fee . This place could be visited for clicking some archaic pictures . Photo lovers would like this place .
The only thing that was worthwhile for me was the entrance. There was a somewhat pleasant area that also offered a view of the Ganges, but to access it, one had to purchase a ticket for the Museum. I do not find museums very appealing, so I did not bother to spend any money or time on it. I wish they had separated the museum from that lovely area and allowed visitors to enjoy it
Ramnagar fort looks beautiful from a distance. The ticket was charged for the museum(check pic upload for the same). Fort is all about the old things kept like guns, palki's, cars etc, old decorative items and clothes. Apart from that nothing much to see there. The only good part is the view from the temple which I loved. 1-1.5 hour visit will be enough. You can find plenty of options to go to fort and vice versa.
You'll find the fort average if you have visited forts in other states, but the antique gun/weapon collection is superb in the museum. The cars and carts should have been taken good care of too they are getting rusts. The museum ticket is 80 for indians and 200 for foreigners (Photography is not allowed inside the museum)
Old and lacks maintenance. the entry to museum is chargeable, 80 for Indians and 200 rupees for foreigners. the museum houses old vintage cars, palakus, carts, rifles, swords, royal dresses and sheets. it is located on the banks of Ganga the opposite side of banaras.
This historical monument is located from main Varanasi city to 7 km. Old Durbar consist from root Ganga river and it's awesome Engineering. Traditional and old era can be viewed here. Museum maintenance and old articles must keep under higher care. This old kingdom reflect it's old era.
