Good for budget person one can stay for 24 hours in just 500 rupees situated just opposite east gate of rameshwaram temple
Rameswaram is a municipality in the Ramanathapuram district of the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It is on Pamban Island separated from mainland India by the Pamban channel and is about 40 kilometres from Mannar Island, Sri Lanka. Together with Varanasi, it is considered to be one of the holiest places in India to Hindus and is part of the Char Dham pilgrimage. According to Hindu ancient texts, Lord Ram had built a bridge from here across the sea to Lanka to rescue his wife Sita from her abductor Ravana. The Temple, dedicated to the Hindu god Shiva, is at the centre of the town and is closely associated with Rama and Shiva. Rameswaram means "Lord of Rama" in Sanskrit, an epithet of Shiva, the presiding deity of the Ramanathaswamy Temple. According to Hindu epic Ramayana, Rama, the seventh avatar of the god Vishnu, prayed to Shiva here to absolve any sins that he might have committed during his war against the demon-king Ravana in Sri Lanka. According to the Puranas (Hindu scriptures), upon the advice of sages, Rama along with his wife Sita and his brother Lakshmana, installed and worshipped the lingam (an iconic symbol of Shiva) here to expiate the sin of Brahmahatya incurred while killing of the Brahmin Ravana. To worship Shiva, Rama wanted to have a lingam and directed his trusted Hanuman (avatar of Shiva himself) to bring it from Himalayas. Since it took longer to bring the lingam, Sita built a lingam made of sand from the nearby seashore, which is also believed to be the one in the sanctum of the temple.
Most probably the worst and most bad place to accommodate over the whole island. You may consider that it's a trust building and may have the best facilities... then u r absolutely wrong. It's just a cot based room. That too a 3 floored building with no proper hygiene. The bed doesn't even has a mattress..... R they kidding!!! And I have no words to describe the bathroom. Ugh the worst ever seen. So ply guys if u r looking for good accommodation please don't prefer this place. You seriously want to sue the authorities for their room!!
please dont book room through rameswaram e accomadation, it is terible horrible room , room rent is Rs 500, even if this room give for free also please dont take it. very dirty rooms, bathroom have no bolt to lock, bath room door cannot be closed as the door frame is very bad,. no water service on bath room regularly, no room service, no bed sheets, even if bed sheet is given -it is used by some one.. so please dont book room through rameswaram e accomadation, there is lot of rooms avaliable at rameswaram near by temple itself, try for it on the spot itself, no need of online booking, we family visted on 26 th April 2018
This is a great place to worship the lord Arulmegu Ramanatha Swamy and goddess Parvathavarthini temple in Ramnad dist.It is situated in a island.This place was worshiped by The greate Ramar after his return from srilanka.The sea is called as Agneetheertham.There is no waves in this sea. Rightual rights are being done in the bank of the sea.Near to Rameshwaram the Dhaneshkodi and Arichalmunai are situated.The is the end place of South India.At Rameshwaram the body of the great Scientist ,the man of Missile is kept and maintained by the central government. We have to visit and honour the man of Missile.At the beach of Rameshwaram boating is being arranged by the government of Tamilnadu. Accommodation and meals are available here.This is one the holly please for Hindus.The world famous Traveling through sea by train from Pamban to Rameshwaram is most popular and remembrable one.

Worst experiance ever,rooms were so dirty ,i think jail is better then this,there accomodation is like hell,requesting you all never ever book there accomodation,even they will not refund your security amount,if u argue with them they gives u threat that they will give you in police.they all are money mindedpeople.They dnt have any fear from god
