What an amazing experience! We sat on the khatiya for lunch, had a kathiyawadi thali with jowar, bajra roti, chapati, sev tomatar sabji, jaggery, dal, potato sabji, eggplant bharta, mango pickle, onion and unlimited buttermilk. The food was delicious, farm to table fresh food. They also had bunnies. Unfortunately many parents pick up the bunnies to give to their kids for playing, but then they drop the bunnies on the floor mistakenly. One bunny had it's waist broken. It's just irresponsible and sad.
Tasty food There is check-post between Gir and Ramdoot farm, so you should reach before 9pm. Owner was much responsive and allowing as to enter at 9:15pm, after requesting at officer of check post. Such an amazing experience in jungle. They provided pure such Village food teast. Playing with rabbits is such an awasome experience. Kids enjoying a lots with that rather than food. I often comes from veraval to here for enjoying village food test.
Best food in Gir. A must visit place to try authentic Kathiawadi food while in Gir. The food isn't that spicy and is freshly prepared. Must try bajra roti and kadhi khichdi. The folks who run that place are very homely and nice. Macha Cot and table chair both seating options are available. There are some rustic touches with a couple of Desi swings hanging from trees nearby. There's also a machaan, an elevated platform 6-7feet above a tree which one can climb with a ladder. Overall, it was a very memorable experience for us. Finding such places anywhere is rare. 5/5 highly recommend.
We had a lunch a while ago and It was amazing experience. The Gujarati Food Served Over here was very tasty and with wide vegetables variety. On the other hand the sitting and look of this place very beautiful and natural. I recommend everyone who travels Sasan Gir to have food over here for true Gujarati tastes. In future I will definitely visit this place.

We are from Karnataka, on a self drive trip and were in GIR. we saw this farm house on the way to Devaliya and went. glad we went there. we were the only family to tart with and the uncle aunty offred to cook us Bainga ka bartha, bindi, sav tamatar, bajra rotla All made fresh, and this was our first Kathiawadi meal in our life we loved, it was accompanied by full cup of fresh ghee and fresh butter. salad and jug full of buttermilk All costed us Rs 400 for 3 people, we ended up just lazing there an hour and bough some fresh Ghee. had chat with that uncle about the life there. He is not in to profession hotel business , but rather an honest human being serving a Delighfull lunch whole heartedly we spent next 10days in gujrat, TASTED THE SMILAR THALI at other places next 8 days but nothing could come anywhere near this. If you are in Gir this is a Must visit place
