Rambo Homestay & Restaurant Hampi - Guest house in Hampi, Sanapur - Koppal, India

Rambo's Homestay is perfect if you're looking for a simple and cheap option in Hampi! Nice clean dorms and good food, and the family and super sweet and very accommodating. It's set in pretty paddy fields and is a walk away from the lake. You can also rent their scooter for the day which was a huge help!

Lovely homestay run by a lovely family. Ramu (aka Rambo) and his wife make a big effort to make you feel welcome and help you out where they can. Definitely recomendable if you're looking for an authentic and unique experience. Further, the rooms are really cozy and well made. Comfy beds!

If your travelling to Hampi/Sanapur, then this hostel is a perfect place to reside during your travelling experiences. The owner loves to kick back and have a chat and is great for local advice on temples and nearby restaurants. The hostel also provides its own menu which we were impressed across the board by its tasty success. Only downside to our stay was seeing Rambo off as we departed. All in all, wonderful stay.

It has a really good location, really close to the lake and walkable distance from the ferry point in case you didn't rent a tuktuk. (Maybe just take one when you arrive to leave all your stuff). The service is great, the hostel is run by the family and all of them are friendly and welcomed. Also the rooms are ok equipped, consider to bring some ear plugs since frogs are really noisy at nigh.

I loved staying at Rambo's place. If I recall correctly -- I stayed at Rambo's about 4 months ago but I've been procrastinating about writing this review -- I payed 300 INR a night (or maybe even less). It's one of the best deals I ever got in India. The beds are wonderful and Rambo is fantastic. He really takes care of his guests. It's the perfect hostel if you're looking for a quiet, outdoors, Hampi experience.

Absolutely wonderful experience at Rambo's Homestay. This is now my second time staying with Rambo and his family, and I will for sure be back for a third. Wonderful food cooked by Rambo and his wife Bhagyamma, very clean rooms/restrooms as well as an amazing social area to hang out and relax. Rambo has all the information you would need to adventure around Hampi area, as well as organising scooters or bikes for your exploring. Last I need to mention the location, situated right next to Sanapur Lake where you can spend your days swimming and jumping off of the rocks. Absolutely loved my stay in Hampi, and it would not have been the same without Rambo and his family.

Staying here feels like a warm hug from your mum. The hosts are super sweet, and the location is very tranquil. The ferry point is a short tuk tuk or scooter ride. This takes you to all the main attractions. Also one of the cheaper options in that area.

The rooms are nice enough, and the owner seems friendly enough; my only advice if you stay here is to keep close track of your own food and water tab during your stay. Everyone i met here had the experience of having to pay for food and drinks that they didnt order.
