Rambler Stay Backpacker Hostel - Hotel in Gokarna - Uttara Kannada, India

Peaceful property situated not too far from Mid beach, surrounded by pleasent greenery from all sides, easily reachable by road. The owner/care taker are wonderful host and decent people. Safe for solo traveling women. Wonderful option if a big group (students/ friends) are looking for hostel like facility to stay. Couple friendly as well. AC or non AC room and Every room has attached washroom, well maintained hygiene. They have kitchen, and a wonderful meetup space. Do not expect a hotel like experience where you can call room service from your room at any point of time (staff is available but the arrangement is not the same), also room just have nice cosy beds in furnishings. This space is more raw and for people who are in for exploring the unexplored and less travelled roads of Gokarna. Go for it without second thoughts if you are looking for some fun time and getting out of your comfort zone.

My 1 week stay at Rambler along with my friends was completely worth it! The host and owner Mr. Vinay was so hospitable and catered to all the needs. Not just that, he ensured that he spends enough time with us, interacting and sharing his experience with us, suggesting amazing places to visit nearby which is not even listed on itineraries on Google! Food at Rambler is just worth it. No matter what you order, the chefs prepare it with utmost quality. We tried from North Indian food to South Indian food, American, Italian and Chinese and we were shocked to experience how everything was damn tasty! After having tried food at different places in Gokarna, I can vouch for the food here. This was my first experience staying at a Hostel and it was an amazing experience. Made some amazing friends here! Next time onwards whether its me or anyone else, I am for sure gonna chose Rambler Stays!

The place was apt, close to beaches and pretty accessible. The host is very helpful- he suggests the best possible way to spend time(if u haven't planned already). The rooms are clean and well maintained. Great lounge area to hang out with friends and to make friends! The restaurant is good and so are the people who work there- fun and helpful! Best place to stay and on a budget. Solo or with gang do visit! This place is real fun!

My friends and I stayed at Rambler Stay for 3 days and it has been one of the most amazing and wholesome experiences we've had as a group. The rooms and clean, hygienic and extremely comfortable. The food is amazing and the atmosphere is beautiful, comfortable and homely. Vinay is an amazing and hospitable host and the staff is really helpful and cooperative too. I'll find my way to this place again for sure! <3

Fantastic Vibes and a perfect place to have an amazing time. There isn't hot water yet and the places isn't too fancy at all but you can't complain. Bathrooms are of substandard quality. Food provided there is a bit pricey but decent for Gokarna. There is an amazing offbeat beach nearby which is great. Overall an Amazing place to have lot of fun with like minded people and not a lot of restrictions.

This place was absolutely insane! Was there with my friends for 3 days and absolutely loved the ambiance. The common area felt like college life all over again. The food was simply amazing. Given that Gokarna is an expensive place, the food here was relatively cheaper and really good compared to the other places we went to. Located very close to the beach. Literally walk it down to the calmest part of the beach. Also, given the price per bed, the best deal ever. Special mention to Bunty (the cutest dog ever) for being a gracious host and making our stay even more special. And finally a big big thank you to Vinay and Chetan for being the most gracious host. Vinay, you are the best and hopefully we will meet you again in one of your upcoming stays in Manali!!!!!

Rambler stay is one of the best stay and food experience one can have. The place and surrounding is calm and so close to nature. All amenities are very good and the care takers are extremely good. Food and the ambience is the main attraction here. I Suggest everyone to taste prawns and every egg+non veg food.. outsiders staying out of this accomodation are also welcome to the restaurant area.. Must visit for a peaceful Gokarna experience.

The experience was good overall. The caretaker Mahesh is well mannered and polite. He's helpful and is always ready to help. The room was reasonably good. It could do better with better AC maintanence. Location is near to beach but not overlooking the beach.The lounge area is nice to hang out.
