The ancestral house of Swami Vivekananda. This place has been restored in the year of 1999 to the current shape. This is beautifully decorated with various digital artworks to showcase the life of Vivekananda. The entry fee is Rs 10, and there's a 3D show which costs Rs 20.

This is an ancestral house and the birth place of great personality of India is Swami Vivekananda. In the year 2004 this house was fully inaugurate by Ramkrishna mission Belur Math. All the rooms are decorated as museum by the history and with the usable things of the swamiji's family. They arranged a 30 mins 3D show with Swamiji's great speech of Chicago. Must recommend this peaceful devotional place for young generation. Ramkrishna Mission arrange spoken English class, computer class, yoga class, library etc. specially for students.

This is the ancestral house if swami Vivekananda.A Museum is developed inside the house by Ramkrishna Mission at 2004. computer training centre,language training centre,library are present here,beside the main building. Must visited place for history lovers and devotional people. Museum time:9 am to 12 pm Then 2 pm to 5 pm Monday closed. Photography is prohibited inside.

The birthplace and ancestral house of Swami Vivekananda. In this house Swami Vivekananda spent his childhood days when he was known as Narendranath Dutta. The most famous Shrine Hall of "Bireswar Shiva" is present inside the area only, where Swamiji's mother Bhubaneswari Devi used to worship and pray to Lord Shiva and as a blessing of Lord Shiva got Child Naren as his son. A most famous, historical and heritage house in the heart of Kolkata. The view of the house and the area is a majestic one. An auditorium is here where various spiritual lectures are being conducted. Classes on various spiritual literatures, cultures and different languages courses are also conducted here. It is a cultural centre with various activities. Wonderful Shrine Hall where daily morning and evening prayers are worshipped. A 3D show on the life of Swami Vivekananda is also shown here in the evenings. A perfect place for the character development and mind development for the youths. Thank You.

We celebrate 12 January as National Youth Day in India. It is the day to mark the contribution of youth to the society. The day is also about encouraging the youth to persevere and achieve greater goals in life. A wonderful place to visit. Clean and well - appointed, it is a moving experience. However there are 2 glaring problems. Firstly, the place doesn't have a proper reception where one can sit. The only place to sit is outside near the shoe rack. Secondly, accessing the toilet is difficult as it lies in the no - shoe zone. However, the toilets are wet and not well designed. This makes it difficult to use them with bare feet. The authorities should rectify these problems promptly.

The house is must visit place of all devotees who are attached to RKM and obviously for all other general people. It's situated on Bidhan Sarani. If you are going towards north from Esplanade via Central Avenue or C R Avenue, then from Vivekananda road crossing take right turn and again after going through Vivekanand road 500 mtrs max and then from Bidhan Sarani crossing left turn and go slightly forward, you will find Vivekanand ancestral house at left. It's actually a museum and it was almost demolished condition. It was taken over by RKM at 1998 and renovated completely with the 19th century materials in collaboration with ASI. If you go via personal car, you may park your car at two sides of Bidhan Sarani in front of the house.

Mostly recommended. Please go and explore Legend Swami Vivekananda Ji's birth place and many more historical asset. Ticket prices only 30/- rupees each head. When you enter the room of the art gallery, you will feel a sense of wonder. Notice: No photography allowed in the museum.
