It is most scenic cave very near to Panchgani and the route to the caves is most beautiful during monsoon/ rainy season. I will suggest to take bike ride with your loved ones or friends which will make your visit more wonderful. When you enter the place you can see a nameplate pn entrance as Shree Kartikeya Mandir. Then you have to take some 50 odd steps downwards to reach the caves and when you hit the ground where the caves are situated then you can see very huge caves structure and oldest stone idols of deities like different forms of Mahadev, Ganesh, Kartikeya, Dattatreya and many more. You can see a holy pond in square shape besides that there is an entrance to the caves where different rooms present and each room is converted to a temple to dedicate to Shiv ji, Kartikeya ji, Ganesh ji etc. There are various bigger trees presebt to nurture the place with beauty and serenity. It is not allowed for females to go inside caves. Here the reason I am not aware of but they can visit the place and see the place from outside. Also I am adding the images so you all can check. It is a very good place to visit along with your family. It is combination of nature's creation and man made temple.
Place is very good neat and clean by Pujari As temple belongs to lord Kartikswamiji no females allowed To reach there by car is very difficult as you must have high power car bcoz it is switched on Cliff You can visit it
Its a scenic location which holds the ancient heritage of our land in the form architecture and the beauty that surrounds this place will transport you to tranquility. Just on the way to Panchgani and the Temple has a special vibe, a must visit.
One of the oldest temples of lord kartikey and lord Vishnu.... something around 4000 years old temple
Went all the way to this place and got to know that LADIES ARE NOT ALLOWED. The caretaker of the temple clearly stopped me from going . The last point on the display board board also mentions the same.I won't recommend this place to anyone since they are still following orthodox traditions in the 21st century.
The caves are natural habitats since humans evolve. So obviously this one no doubt. Had a visit here to experience the marvel. Cool atmosphere inside and feels close to the mother nature. A must place to visit.
Nothing is there but its a simple and small caves with MATHA's idols
Sure, I'd be happy to describe Rajpuri Caves in Mahabaleshwar for you! Rajpuri Caves is a fascinating historical and religious site located in the town of Panchgani, near Mahabaleshwar. These ancient caves hold great significance for both Hindus and Buddhists. It is believed that the Pandavas from the Hindu epic Mahabharata spent some time in these caves during their exile. The caves are also associated with Lord Kartikeya, the son of Lord Shiva, and are considered a sacred pilgrimage site. As you explore the Rajpuri Caves, you'll be amazed by their natural beauty and architectural marvel. The caves are carved out of a single rock formation and consist of several chambers and passageways. The intricate carvings and sculptures on the cave walls depict various mythological stories and deities. One of the highlights of Rajpuri Caves is the holy Kund, a small water reservoir believed to have healing properties. Devotees often take a dip in the Kund as part of their religious rituals and prayers. Apart from its religious significance, Rajpuri Caves also offer a serene and peaceful environment. The surrounding lush greenery and scenic views make it a perfect place to relax and connect with nature. If you're interested in history, spirituality, or simply want to experience the unique charm of Rajpuri Caves, it's definitely worth a visit during your trip to Mahabaleshwar.
