A good and calm place to enjoy your evening. One can visit alone or with family, can be a good spot for picnic. Well maintained road connects this place with the city center but one has to tread almost 1km of broken roads to reach to the main part of the dam. The area stays cool due to the presence of water & greenery makes it worth the visit. One can see kids fishing with bamboo poles near the shore. The water reservoir itself is huge and provides household water for the city of Sagar. There is no ticket for entry, so anyone can visit. Best times to visit is early monsoon , when the lake is full of water and best timing is evening (4:00 PM to 6:00 PM). Avoid visiting after dark.
Rajghat Dam not only Sagar district Rather, it is a very beautiful place to visit in many nearby districts. Apart from this, the Rajghat Dam is also called the Lifeline of Sagar District, because this dam quenches the thirst of the people of Sagar district. It is a very beautiful picnic spot.The distance of Sagar districts from this dam will be about 15 kms. This dam is located in Hanota. You can come to this dam from the National Highway road.
