Extraordinary place everyone must visit i assure it will give you a goosebumps when you see it and beside this place there is a museum which is in very bad condition but see that as well

Needs Improvement on Maintenance. Government should promote tourism as well as preserve.Very sad to see the great cholas historical site is poorly maintained

Great historical place but its maintenance was poor. No public advertisement to visit. Atleast in front of gangaikonda cholapuram temple. Here you can see the brick and foundation of this palace.

Very good collection and best hospitality

This is an upcoming museum and interpretation centre near Gangaikonda Cholapuram. The site is said to be the old palace of king Rajendra Cholan who moved his capital here from Thanjavur. The TN State Dept of Archaeology excavated the site in 1980s and discovered brick walls and foundation of the palace. More work will resume soon and a temple and palace museum will be set up here.
