Rajardighi - Lake in Midnapore - Medinipur West, India

The largest water-body around Medinipur town, Rajardihi was commissioned by the rulers of Abashgarh. About 300 m in length (north-south) and 170 m in breadth (east-west), a submerged temple structure exists in the middle whose topmost portion can be seen jutting out of the water-level during the summer seasons when the water level recedes. Local people try to make an effort to touch it as a landmark while swimming. But unless with very good stamina, its very tough to accomplish both the onward and return sojourn in one go.

This is very very unclean and germy pond. Its never ever mentioned. Govt should be take an initiative to clean this pond atleast one time.

Wow it's so beautiful specially in the evening and our house is just beside it so everyday I enjoy the moment. But if they can improve the side and make some park along with that.

Very beautiful place for all.beside it there's have satsang,shops,gym,hotel,hostel,mess,bazar etc all.just visit it any time.specially so mornings and evenings.see the fishing,bathing,find,birds and the other s said before.must wach satsang upojojana Kendra.

A very big pond ,it's called RAJAR DIGHI,
