Rains Inn - Hotel in Guwahati - Kamrup Metro, India

Situated on a broken pathway along Paltan Bazar; access is tricky. The outer appearance of the hotel does not inspire confidence. The reception / lobby area is tiny and dingy. But all this is made up by the room I opted for: Deluxe category. The room was huge by any standards, spic and span, equipped with L-shaped sofa, study table and the usual bed, TV, fridge etc. It also had a balcony which is rare these days. The staff looked deprived, but were friendly and cooperative. The food is reasonably priced and tasty. The breakfast is limited and homely. Tariff, very reasonable. Recommended for middle budget travelers.

The location of the hotel is great. Walking distance from railway station, Gs road and Paltan Bazar. Although it's in the middle of city's hustle and bustle of traffic, to my surprise the locality is quite calm and homely. The food's very good. Not too spicy but just right with the quantity being really good. The rooms are fresh and bright and really clean and well maintained considering the fact that the hotel is almost 14 years old, to my surprise, which I thought to be just 2-3 year old. The staff is helpful and friendly. Only lookout point is dinner time is upto 10 pm. Except this, I would definitely rate my stay a 5/5 .

A good hotel in the Paltan Bazaar area. Has comfortable rooms. Has good ambience in the corridors and the lobby. Has good room service, and also a good restaurant. There's a bit of a parking space in the front as well. There are many shops and restaurants near by.

Nice hotel to stay in a prime location of Guwahati, nearer to the railway station and ASTC stand. Prompt and helpful front desk and room service. Limited choice for complementary breakfast and whatever was available was tasty. Enjoyed my stay.

It's at the nearby prime location of paltan bazar. Parking facility is there. Staff is well behaved. Dinner is available up to 10 pm only. Afterwards we can order thru food chain delivery partners like swiggy or Zomato. You may check online options for rates rather than directly arriving at the hotel.

Rooms are not that large against the price. Suitable for one night stay for easy accessibility to the railway station. Cleanliness is maintained properly. Extremely near to the railway station, you can reach by walking.

Very well maintained hotel, fully built considering nature, sustainability and reusability. Rooms are spacious, restaurant with mini bar has many options. Staff is courteous. Breakfast is normal, nothing much special. Overall had a pleasant stay for 3days during recent trip to Guwahati.

Booked the room basically coz it offered bathtub. It was a pleasant say in all. A bit over priced but that I found is the case with all properties in Guwahati. When compared to hotels in other cities that I have been to, the amenities provided are not value for money in Guwahati. Interaction with the staff was pretty formal. one thing I liked is the location. the place is nice and could be opted for.
