Railway Retiring Rooms - Guest house in Rameswaram - Ramanathapuram, India

Old and very railway sleeper class level maintenance. No hot water facility, no drinking water facility. Just ok for refreshing and visiting temple and check-out in half a day.

We had booked 2 nos of 3bed family rooms . The rooms are very spacious. But the attached toilets are not that clean . But for 470rs per room at Rameswaram like places it's adjustable. If the railway had done some restoration works to toilet and bathroom it will be a very good stay

We booked normal double bed room via online for one day its cost 200 something. If you come with friends its cheap and best then you can get food in railway station its really good and if you have bottle there is filling station over there in station its cost 5 ripped for 1litre bottle, from here temple 1.5 km away. The salt water only is coming its only tough to take bath and brush. If you are stay in noon time you can't stay inside the room too much heat inside. Apart from all its quite cheap and best for budget travellers.

We stayed in AC room.Room newly painted,AC is good.But toilet is indian type without hand jet water washer.

My stay was normal and water in taps are salty. You never even wash your face neither bath properly as when you use soap no foams even created. Recommend to stay outside or in any oyo rooms but yes if you are going for 1 day it's good to stay as near to station

Better than expected. The manager was totally drunk and asked me to pay extra if I required Blanket. When I reacted, he withdrew the charge part, but ended up giving 1 blanket between 2 people. AC's remote had dead pair of cells. Rooms are spacious and furnished well. Water in taps is saline.

Liked very good. Please note it can be booked only through online before you reach destination Rameshvaram with reference of your ticket PNR. Nice rooms both AC and non AC in afforded terrif for required hours , maximum upto 48 hours. Clean room, linen and toilet with 24 hours water . You can have drinking water and eatable from kiosks at platform. Most convenient is that you may get round the clock Auto and Taxi for going any where

The worst experience ever had !!!! I would not suggest these railway retiring rooms. SPECIALLY in rameswaram ... The maintenance is horrible . the rooms we checked(non Ac) in is lot more worst ... No door exist for washroom ... Though we complained about it .. the maintenance ppl are trying to convince instead of quick action ... ITS WORST
