Rahmaniya Kethel's Chicken - Chicken restaurant in Pantheeramkavu - Kozhikode, India

Visited this place after hearing a lot about their spring chicken fry, but I have to say it was an absolute disaster. I know they serve spicy food, and I am not someone who shies away from spicy food. But the food served was spiced to extreme that we can taste only dry chilly sprinkled on top and not the chicken. I think the chicken was tasty, but its difficult to taste it when there a ton of dry chilly on top of it. But more than that the behavior of the staff was also not up to the mark. We reached this place after 9PM and our group included 6 adults and 3 kids of age, and sine they were not able to have the food after their first bite, we told the staff about that, and their reaction was like this-is-how-it-is-done-here and if-you-want-eat-else-leave. They should have the basic common sense to inform us well before that the food would be spicy and if you want it less spicy by seeing the kids. Since the kids didn't have anything, we thought we will order Ghee rice combo, so they can have the rice and that was another disaster the gravy which they gave with the rice was the most tasteless item I have ever tried. If someone says this might be the water from the sink where they clean utensils - I wont disagree. Overall - we have ordered Pathiri combo, Liver fry combo, ghee rice combo and every fry across the combos have the same story to tell. Only positive I can think of is the lime juice which they served with the combos. This place would be Never-try-again eatery for me, and I would recommend any one with kid to not go to this place for food.

Tried to taste this traditional food 6 years ago from ernakulam. Still one of my favourite. There are only two combo you can expect from here. Nothing more. 1) kethals chicken with Ghee rice 2) kethals chicken with chappathi. Am always choose first option. It's include gravy of kethals chicken parts, lemon pickle (yes, old style green colour lemon pickle) and lemon water (surely call your nostalgic memory). Moreover its simply yummy.... Enjoy the food.

Rahmaniya kethal's chicken, another variety of Kozhikode. One of the best and oldest restaurant in calicut city. Kethel's chicken is very spicy one, and its tastes nice. Lime juice is served along with it. Specialised in kethel's chicken. If you interested in spicy items it is a good destination. This spicy chicken not suitable for childrens.. You come for Kethels chicken, and you get the best and most spicy version of it. Nothing else.The price is little bit high. Service is nice,staffs are good. Car parking facility available.

Rahmaniya Kethel's Chicken. KETHEL CHICKEN. A very famous hotel in calicut(they have many other branches) known for their tasty and spicy deep fried spring chicken. And do you wanna know how spicy it is? Well, they will be serving sweet lime juice along with this for a relief from the spicy chicken. Though it is very very spicy, it is too yummy to resist. But they've brought done the spicy flavour now. For all those spicy walas, this is a must try

ordered kethel chicken with ghee rice, chicken gravy & lime pickle. also tey serve lime juice instead of water which i liked.. chicken is flavourful bt ter is not enough meat- it was more like kethel chicken 'bone' fry- i'm sharing pics for reference & d worst part is tey charge u around 180 for tat chicken.. ghee rice was moderate ... d only thing satisfied me was tat yellow lime pickle- tat was nice.. chicken is flavoured with dry red chilli- bt ters no chicken - just bones

We were visited this Kethal Rehmaniya restaurant, Pantheerankavu on July 2018 and it was a plesent lunch from there. We have ordered Pathiri and chicken Kethel fry . The quantity was ok but the taste was too spicy for me, however the Kethel fry having different fried taste with above average hot spicy masala. We have gone around with a recommendation from my sisters. It was OK ( Over all 4 Star)

Very satisfying yet not heavy on stomach baby fried chicken. Tasty and has distict flavour . Liked their lime pickle .

Wash room need more clean and modern. No cleanex (Tissue) and waste box in washroom. The waste plate on the table also dirty
