Well, THIS IS WORST HOTEL I EVER USED! This Hotel is located at 4th floor. The stairs of this building is broken and too narrow. We booked 2 AC rooms for 6 people, 2 people sharing bed and 1 single bed. Single bed is like broken and it make noices when someone sit. Their AC doesn't cool the room properly takes long time to start cooling. WORST PART IS, their bathroom doesn't have any Cleat (Chitkini) at all. I mean what the hell is this? AVOID This hotel if you are looking for hotel with good facilities for the budget range of 1200-1600 INR. It's not worth it at all.
First of all...this guest house is at 4 th floor. Other 3 floors have other 3 guest houses. No lift available. Entrance steps are not wide be careful. Couple rooms of 10x9ft or small. Double size bed is very small just a bit larger than single bed. I booked through the official site n got confirmation e mail from their site at 800 rs per day. But on reaching when I show them e mail n pay at hotel recepit they said they ll charge 1200 rs per day and their site has been hacked and the mobile no given by them in e mail id is switched off. Not suitable for couples or Couple with kids or elders. In 1200 rs u ll find other hotels at better location with better ammenities and bigger rooms.
Though they charge 1100 for room but the location is so congested and rooms are too small even you cant move freely in bathroom, staff behaviour is okay.....not preferable....
Well, I came to this Guest House after seeing good reviews & ratings, but I really didn't find it as good as the ratings for below reasons, 1. Cleanliness in stairs & reception gate is horrible (Picture attached). Also it's located in G+3 (3rd Floor) & the staircases are not flat. 2. Rooms are suffocated. 3. Bad noises from exhaust fans 4. Extra charges for early check-in
Overall very nice experience!! Whenever I am in kolkata, I try to stay at Mariam guesthouse only.The rooms are very clean and the toilet is very much clean. Rooms decoration is also very good. Outside of the room in this hotel are very also good. Good In privacy. Good behavior of stuff. Special mention for Mr. SK EZAZ in front office who is always ready to help with a smile
Very nice hotel.. The owner is a humble and helpful Man. He arrange me a room at midnight as i was new to this area though he has no room on that day but next day he arrange a room for me. Thanks Mr Rahman for his kind gesture.

Rooms are very clean, sanitized and well maintained. The owner himself was very kind and soft spoken. This is a very good budget stay in Kolkata situated in the middle of busy town. Walking distance from Park Street and is very near to Esplanade. Highly recommended place to stay as service is the highlight of this Guest House. You should see the check-in and check-out timings as what I remember is 12 PM.
