Good !! Very old (nearly 100 years as claimed by lady owner) retro hotel in Gokarna and serves only south Indian dishes. Ambience is pure retro , I think not renovated from ages. Food items quality and quantity is good. Price is also nominal. Tried both breakfast and mid day meal - Idly, Banana buns, south meals. Banana buns were average in taste and not same as we get in Udupi, Mangalore side. Little bit of additional hygiene is required

This old, tiny and whimsical restaurant was our first stop to satiate some basic Idli cravings after a tiring journey. Serving local tiffin, meals, snacks and beverages, you'll find this economical, very basic and humble restaurant at the corner of busy by-lanes of the market. This is more of a space to sit down for a quick bite between traveling. The coconut chutney was delicious and so were the freshly made Mangalore Buns that we tried, among its limited menu. There isn't much space on the street outside for parking, and it'll need to be adjusted on other by-lanes. The people are quite tourist-friendly, and very helpful with directions and other recommendations too.

This place is located next to a medical shop near the bus stand. The food was pretty good, their Parotta is really nice, their pulao was also good. Affordable prices and good food. You can get idli, dosa and other tiffin items all day. They make mirchi bajji from our regular use chilly so it'll be too spicy.

Nice Veg budget restaurant with authentic taste and good service. We had Idli, Masala dosa, Vada and Poori. The food was very good. The coffee was out of this world.

One of the best places to eat in Gokarna town. Just adjacent to the bus stand. They serve some amazing snacks items such as mangalore buns, mirchi bajji , onion pakoras etc. I felt their signature item was the misal bhaji which includes avalakki , some papri and a generous amount of gravy topped with some onions. Their masala buttermilk is one of the best I have tasted outside my home. I didn't like the texture of their idlis and the sambar that they provided for breakfast (purely due to cuisine differences) but for an evening tea and snacks I would definitely go there everyday. The prices are very economical for the quantity and quality of food they offer.

Authentic place for Uttar Karnataka style tiffin. We enjoyed Poha and Dosa. Taste and colour of Dosa was bit different and very huge in size as well. All reasonably priced and budget friendly.

Tried meals here. The taste was good. The rate was a little bit high.
