Rachanas Black Beach Resort - Resort hotel in Varkala - Thiruvananthapuram, India

The rooms are a bit small but has a pool. They don't have a restaurant, breakfast is provided from nearby black beach resort. The amenities are limited but if you are spending 1 nights it's a good choice. There is limited parking which can be an issue if you are having more vehicles

Resort is good and the swimming pool is also good and good part is it is free. Staff is fully co-operative and helped in all the ways they can do. I book standard non AC but here they need to improve in the bed and cleaning ant was there full in bed.

We were 13 member team and took accommodation for 1 night stay. The place is having very poor vehicle parking service. We had 2 cars and we were able to park cars under a place where there are high chances for coconut falling. We booked actually due to pooling facilities available but it got closed by 9 which is not at all acceptable. We had to connect with manager twice or thrice to had it extended for 1 hour. Suggesting to shift placement of body massage.

Rooms were ok. Could have taken more efforts to keep the rooms clean. Towels were not clean. Faced issues with the heater. Service was very good. Whenever we had a problem, house keeping showed up immediately. Has a private swimming pool to enjoy. Overall average experience during stay.

First recheck which black beach resort. The one shown in picture has a branch down the road. We got that resort. The rooms are not well maintained. The bedspread were not clean. The room that we got was not cleared properly. There was a heap of mud below the bed built from ants. The spider webs were there near the doors. The space above the head of the bed had lots of fungus. They literally cheated us. The staff did respond to the requirements...but end moment we cannot look for other rooms also. It was a scary night for us. And morning breakfast was complimentary...but at the cafe the person with spectacles and some weird haircut was so rude and denied us breakfast. We told okay we shall pay. He told we have limited breakfast and we cannot give as such. However another person asked us to carry on with our breakfast. We had booked through a travel agent. All the other rooms through out trip was good except for this. When we checked with him..he told breakfast was mentioned complimentary and informed them. He was also shown pictures of this resort and booking was done for the other branch. However the cafe is sea facing and good view. The grey curtains were black at the bottom. Don't know how long it wasn't washed. The swimming pool is in the main resort and not at the branch. Maintained really bad.

Stay in dharmashala but not into this hotel...first of all no window in room,rooms are very very very small, no plandline phones to call for reception, means any time you need the reception you have to go to the reception walking, no geyser in rooms means no hot water, and main thing no reception staff from evening 6 till morning 9 means you are ram bharose in night....worst hotel i have ever seen....dont book even in 500 rs per night....these whole black beach resort group seems to be fraud

Perfect weekend getaway. Very friendly staff. The beach view with comfortable rooms is an amazing premium experience. Night barbeque dinner on the beach shore was amazing. The food here is great. Had a great spa day and had fun in the swimming pool. Overall a great weekend.
