Rabit Cafe - Cafe in Varkala - Thiruvananthapuram, India

We went to this cafe on 21 Nov 2023 for evening coffee. We had reached by 1700 hrs and there was no waiting period rather it had only one person at that time. One can say it is open cafe. There is no separate parking but parking is available in general for visitors of Varkala beach and is plentiful. Ambience wise place has a very basic decor with a awesome view of the sea beach especially for sunset. (7/10). It has somewhat restricted seating and can accommodate 20 - 24 people I guess (6/10). Restaurant Staff included one Nepali boy for service who was courteous, polite and well behaved, and was pleasant to interact with (7/10). Menu is limited. (7/10). Service was kind of slow and hot coffee i ordered was not prepared there but brought from another nearby cafe (I suppose). (6/10). Price of dishes is fine. During this visit we tried cold coffee (which was a big disappointment as was mostly crushed ice rather than usual creamy cold coffee) and filter coffee (which was nothing more than simple coffee and was again a disappointment) we did not try any eatables so it would be unfair on my part to comment on them but other reviews do mention them to be good. Quantity wise it was ok.(5/10). washroom was not available. All payment options were available. Overall a unsatisfactory experience (6/10).

They have Indian breakfast, tried Masala dosa and Kaldosa, Perfect place for breakfast in Cliff. Food Menu and Prices are decent.

The best place to have smoothies on the cliff ! No added sugar, affordable and the important part - it was delicious MUST try ! We happened to visit the cafe randomly since the menu was interesting. This was on day 1 of our trip. We had smoothies from this place throughout our stay in varkala. You just can't get enough of it !

Best meal I've had in India! Their specialty fish in banana leaf is a must taste. Ambience is relaxed, rustic, cosy and atmospheric. Stunning views, great music Playlist.

This is without a doubt the best food in Varkala. The menu is simple but everything is delicious. The Indian food is exquisite, with incredible flavours, traditional Keralan dishes, and also a good selection of North Indian food. You must try the fish cooked in banana leaf - it comes in a tomato, onion and coconut gravy and is one of the best dishes we ate during our 5-month stay in India. The eggplant bengal was another favourite.

I really liked the cafe. The cafe is located at the north cliff and one can have a good view of the sea while having good food. The cafe serves good food at affordable prices. We ordered rice and chana masala and both were very good. Rice was around Rs 100 per plate and chana masala around Rs 190 and that speaks about the affordability of the cafe, worth every penny.

Best Place in Varkala. The food is soo fresh and delicious. No long waiting time. Anu the waiter will always cheer you up. He is always happy. Special request with the food were always and so friendly managed. I come here every day, morning and evening. The menu is perfect to stay a whole day. Electricity and Wi-Fi. The best food. The best view. Music is soo good.
